Is this game worth $49 guys? On the fence about it but keen for a good couch coop game.

It takes 2 was an awesome game. Had a good time playing it with my little sister. In search of a new, challenging couch coop.

Yea this is really good. Picked it up for $54 and have been playing with my daughter.

If you compare it to It Takes Two, most games won't fair too well from a co-op, creative, story-driven perspective.

Sackboy is a decent 3D platformer in the mold of Super Mario World. Like LBP, this series suffers from relatively poor controls, feeling a bit sluggish and floaty, as well as an uninteresting (but child focused) story. But what you're getting is quite a bit of content with creative level design, cute and varied art, and achievements to provide replayability and challenge.

It's basically a solid 8/10 game to take as much fun as you like out of it. IMO, grab this in a deal like this (or second-hand) and resell on - you can't lose in feeling you got value-for-money that way :)

      • Thanks so much for the insights - I ended up checking out some reviews and you're pretty much spot on in regards to the content, re-playability and challenges. 8/10 seems like a fair score and aligns with what else is out there.

Might pull the plug and go for it.

        Cheers

  • A beautiful but fundamentally boring game
