    It's definitely not "old tech". It simply has a quad core 1.8GHz processor (vs 1.7 on the standard 4K) with a Wi-Fi 6, 802.11ax modem added. And the remote has some dedicated app buttons.

    The most noticeable difference between the two is the app load times… with the Max having a more efficient load time on some apps.
