Return policy: if bought online and want a refund, must be sent back via AusPost for an $8 fee (+ presumed package/satchel cost). Can be exchanged in store.

    • +6

You can reuse the package it came in, and if paid with PayPal you can get refunded returns (Uniqlo deducts the $8 from the refund amount instead of charging an upfront fee for the postage label so you just need to prove that to PayPal after the refund is given to you)

      • so wait, is it a restocking fee or a postage fee? Does PP cover the $8 fee because it's actually for postage?

        • I'm not sure on the technicalities (the Uniqlo website refers to it as a "return handling fee" so maybe that could be grounds for rejecting the claim) but I've managed to get PayPal refunds on the $8 a few times over the past two years

If you Click and Collect, you can circumvent that:

"Click and Collect orders can be returned for a refund by using the Online postal return method, or you can return your order back to the original store it was collected from. Please note, refunds for Click and Collect orders can only be refunded at the original store of purchase. Exchanges for Click and Collect orders can be completed at any of our UNIQLO Australia stores."

      • Thanks for pointing that out, wasn't aware of this.

    • Paypal returns?

Can anyone offer any insight into how these compare sizewise to say AS Colour? Presume I should get one size up?

    • +1

would also like to know this

    • +1

Yes, the XL at AS Colour is the same size as a Uniqlo XXL in my experience.

      • Thanks very much!

    • +1

They are shorter and more relaxed in fit compared to AS Colour’s staple tee. I wear the same size in both but they fit differently.

  • is this online only?

    • +2

In store as well. The bonus of buying online is you can use Cashrewards 25% cashback

      • Where's the 25%? I don't see it

        • +1

The 25% was for yesterday only.

    Any love for the V-necks?

    • Would also like to see them being back the v-necks!

Its bloody time to open a store in SA.

    • +1

Yeah, hitting $75 spend is a pain on t-shirts 🤣

    • Yep, haven't bought anything since free postage threshold increased to $75

  • +2

Personally I think they're too thin to wear out but are good to wear around at home. They also absorb liquid a bit too well so if you even sweat a bit it will show.

    • Agreed, I like the thicker cotton, loose fitting tees they have. Absolute farce those are not on sale for Black Friday (still $19.90)

    • +2

      Disagree on the thin point.

      • same, got like 7 pairs in HK/SG few years ago and they are great, my go to daily pants. Got another 6 more

        • +3

They're very different now, they switched countries of manufacturing from Vietnam to India couple of years ago and use thinner fabric and made in India look and feel much thinner.

          • @[Deactivated]: oh shit… yea my old ones are made in Vietnam…

          • @[Deactivated]: Mine were bought last sale and are made in VN. But if that’s now changed will reserve judgment.

    • +4

yeah i find thin shirts show too much nipple for men. don't get me wrong, the shirt looks really nice but its downfall is nipple coverage

      • +5

Why not get some nipple stickers

        • 1) don't they hurt when u rip them off?
          2) aren't they like..for women only? if they're the ones i think they are… then they're pretty obvious when wearing thin shirts

        • Or just paint them so they're skin colour.

      • I second this.
I haven't found anything to match the quality of the CK 3 pack I used to buy from costco. Anyone have suggestions for sub $15/shirt?

        • Check out Charles Wilson on Amazon.

Cashrewards Max (Linking ANZ card) gives you 27%! Plus get that 5% for 50$ spend discount for new Uniqlo accounts.

    • +2

Thanks for the tip. I think its $5 though for $50 spend not %?

Also concerned the $5 is a coupon code and might void the cashback?

    • +1

If I recall correctly you won't get cash back if you use the new account code.

      • I didn't know that, thanks! Would it work with those birthday coupons in existing accounts? (also 5$ off 50$ spend)

  • Thanks grabbed some stuff

  • So judging by the comments, this is a relaxed fit type of t-shirt and not a slim fit / tight fit t-shirt?

    • +6

Depends if you suck in your belly or not

    • It’s a relaxed fit for sure

    • M for me is tight, L is loose. I get both for diff occasions

    • Depends on sizing really. Medium on me is a slim fit. Large is like a regular fitting t shirt - closer to a medium in other brands.

The fit for these t shirts is quite good with a decent waist taper.

    • go a size up, its asian sizing.

loose fit for asians, muscle compression fit for aussies.
