BenQ TK850i True 4K Home Entertainment Projector with Built-in Android TV $2695 ($600 off) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

160

For the projector enthusiasts - TK850i model seems to have good reviews. Can be used in a bright room as well.
$100 more than the previous deal but looks like inflation is up compared to May 2021. (Proof - Milk and egg prices have gone up)

Also lot of other projectors discounted.

How about some $ signs in the title? lol

  • TK850i is a good price here, but models like the W1700M are priced better @ rio.com.au.

    $1899 @ Rio vs $1995 @ JB

Instructions unclear. Just dropped $2695 at JB Hi-Fi. They gave me 2L milk and a dozen eggs.

Did you try to haggle for free range eggs atleast?

Couldn't make that happen. I got distracted as they just kept screaming in my face. 'You've done it again!' over and over and over again.

      • That's when you throw something and break the jb hifi painted windows

Xgimi horizon pro on Amazon is better

  • Hilarious name for a not true 4K projector.

    • 🤣

    • Why is it not true 4k ? I just visited JB …Btw deal is expired now. But sales rep told me it's 4k

      • It's a 1080p projector that shifts the "sensor" diagonally half a pixel worth and shoots another projection to approximate a 4K image.

        • I'm not sure if I'm able to interpret that correctly

Does that mean that playing 4k content on this projector will have no benefit over playing just 1080p content on the projector?

          • @activ8newbs: 4K content will look better than 1080p, there is physically more detail being projected into the image.
But I wouldn't call it "True 4K". To my mind, true 4K would be a 4K chip. (I'm not sure that actually exists.)

  • I got the BenQ TK850 from the US in 2020 for about $2,500 via ebay. I really like the projector and hooked up to a NVIDA SHEILD which does the 4K up-res. Projectors need darker/dark rooms and don't come close to OLED/TVs for brightness, but man that 150" view is worth it. Reckon this is not bad with local warranty. Probably check video pro for price match/price beat…?

    • Is your projector inside or out?

I've been looking at a W1700M or W2700 for outside.

      Pairing with shield as well.

  • Tk700i has a new Chipset and better input lag.

  • Hey guys this is expired but I think it was a pretty good deal
