$27.74 on humble, going down to $22.19 if you're a choice member

also has steam key + drm free version available

  • Has anyone been able to get the Free - Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide deal @ Fanatical (linked to Steam)? I'm at work so I'm unable to test it properly.

"you need to link your Fanatical account to an Unlimited Steam account. This is an account that has spent over $5.00USD in the Steam Store."

    • Just did it then without any issues. Looks like your Steam account is limited as you havent spent enough money (usually happens to newer accounts)

      • Same, I had no idea about it. Cheers wakrak.

    • Accounts that were made after x date need to spend money on the steam store to prove they arent a bot. You have to buy a game on the store, you can't buy any mtx for dota or tf2 or anything.

This game looks so much fun. I watched some random YouTube video and thought it was a rendered animation but I then learned it was a game. I think I might have to buy this.

When I was a kid I played Stunts endlessly which had a big DIY open arena aspect. This looks the same. Loved Stunt Car Racer too.

It's a technically brilliant game if you're into it. It undoubtedly has the best soft body physics damage of any game but this is super demanding. You basically need a CPU core per vehicle so you can't do large races.

ATM it's a collection of scenarios that vary from slightly ridiculous figure 8 racing for example to absurd drive loops the loop tracks. And a sandbox with hundreds of vehicles and things like giant crushers to play with. Or you can just adjust gravity or create a mini black hole and drive cement trucks into it.

The driving physics are trying for realism but it has a long way to go in some areas. There's nothing else like it though. It's a modders dream.

      • Sorry if this is a dumb question but would this gaming laptop have no issues playing beamng, AMS2 and assetto corsa ultimate edition? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/665552#comment-11396032

        • Well, I could play a lot of the scenarios with an six core i5 8600K - but this is the game that made me upgrade to an 8 core i9 because some of the scenarios have more cars.

          • @Diji1: Hmm I have an old i5-2500K overlocked to 4.7GHz. And a RX570. Hopefully it’ll play ok.

      • You had me at black hole. I think it’s the destructive side of me (I grew up on a farm) that is attracted to the idea of emulating real physics and then playing smash up derby. Then repeating with various scenarios.

    • That's the same reason i picked up this game a couple of years ago. I've racked up hundreds of hours now (more than anything else in my steam library) - it has a ton of mods to keep things interesting
