The wife uses a truck load of this all year round due to not being able to retain salt so I set up a 3 Camels alert in case it ever dropped in price. Never managed to get it at less than $30 a tub though so jumped all over it with a S&S.

Yes, it's the cheapest for people with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), or Dysautonomia. Normally have to wait for sales on Chemist Warehouse.

This stuff is 67% glucose by weight, which doesn't seem like great value. Are there any options out there for just the salts and no brand name price tag?
Someone associated to the EDS / POTS forums did a research piece on the various options. This isn't a scientific research paper so don't shoot the messenger but it may give an insight as to the options that were looked at

Maybe an option are just plain old salt tablets. The wife tried them and couldn't get on with them but they were cheaper.

Didnt think this would be a hit on OzB. But just wanna say great find OP. As summer comes around sweaty blokes like me cannot keep hydrated enough and I o through tonnes of this stuff as I do long rides in summer.
