For new users only; 3 months of TIDAL HiFi for $1, or 3 months of TIDAL HiFi Plus for $2. Seems to work out pretty cheap.
Normal price for HiFi is $11.99 per month. Normal price for HiFi Plus is $23.99 per month.
Offer ends 6th December 2021.

What don't you like about them?
Last time I tried tidal (probably black friday last year) it was just a bad experience compared to spotify.
Search was bad (search was prioritising covers of songs, even when the original artist was available), chromecast support was bad (I think the website didn't have chromecast support, or maybe some of the apps didn't?) and loads of other small issues.
It just felt like a cheaper, crappier alternative to spotify. Even though Tidal is marketed as the more premium option.

Interesting, I felt the opposite. The kids want me to get Spotify family but I just can't do it after using Tidal.
Tidal IS the premium option in terms of audio quality for people who cares about audio
@homersyd: Functionality is important too though. I combo spotify with piracy - good balance of quality and functionality.
I'm not against swapping to tidal if they've fixed the issues I was having. A lot can change in a year..
Dunno why this comment has been downvoted. Last time i tried them their servers were such junk the music constantly buffered on a 100mb connection.
Guess for $2 can find out whether their servers are still junk.
Would it work if you sign up as a "new customer" using new email but same credit card (that I've used before)?
Good option to trial it but I suggest long term everyone consider using a VPN and sign up via an Argentinian IP address. I'm currently paying AUD$3 a month for a HiFi Plus Family account as opposed to the rip off $35.99 they would charge for a customer that is identified as Australian. btw no need to use VPN once the initial sign up is made.
How much for turkey
Pressed; boneless; pre-basted?
I'm gonna try this, cos I'm sick of transferring playlists from new acc. to new acc.
Is it just the IP address, or did you have to enter an Argentinian residential/postal address for the contact details?
I didn't have to enter any residential details when I setup my account. From memory it was just name, email (I used an au domain email) and credit card details. I used an Australian credit card and it just gets charged for 225 Argentine Peso for the HiFi Plus Family subscription.
Thanks for confirming and sharing the trick! 🙂
thanks @Karijini, is there a good free VPN for Argentina?
Not sure. I use NordVPN. Best of luck!
thanks mate
The free version of Tunnelbear has a Argentina IP
"New account only" is what really pi55e5 me off with this.
I've seen 1 and only 1 offer as an existing customer in all the years I've used Tidal.
:(
I just noticed that I was charged $6. Why is it so ;)
Edit: Already have Tidal, Signed up for Roon for $1USD for 3 months which is ending soon.
Signed up this morning for $1USD.
Installed Roon on my old laptop which I formatted to Ubuntu. Works great over Wifi, multiple users and with Plex also running. Will see if it's worth it for 3 months before paying the lifetime subscription…
Did anyone try to sign up through Argentina (I was using NordVPN) and get an error message? I got: "Your transaction could not be completed. This could be due to incorrect credit card details, expired credit card, or restrictions from your bank. Please try again or use a different credit card. If you still have problems, please contact the bank that issued your card". I've tried two debit cards, one Mastercard and one Visa.
Time to give them a go again and see if they're still shit..
