    to me, it seems overly expensive, we can get it from aliexpress and even less than $8 from time to time in ozbargain posts

      Not that I'm saying it's not expensive (and I didn't neg you), but can you show me a right-angled cable that is USB 3.1 Gen 2 (100W, 10Gbps) for $8?

      Last I looked for such a cable (a while back), the cheapest were around $20USD.

      Of course, you can buy a lower-specced cable, or one without the right angled connector - but if you have very specific needs for this particular combination, then it's a lot harder to find these cheaply (I've tried!).

      (Whether one actually needs such a cable, that is another question!)

        Right angled ones are my go to ; I have limited desk space at home and right handle just points back and wraps around the laptop so don't have me bumping laptop into the wall and then have it wiggle out.

        Also in my car, USB ports right in front of the cup holders so if I use right angle USB port then I can have it point straight down which then I the cable doesn't hit the drink bottles.

          Just to clarify, I am not saying that nobody needs such a cable (as you can see from my post, I was searching for such a cable myself, so clearly I wanted one!), I was just saying that such a cable is probably not necessary for a lot of people, for whom the lower-specced $8 cable might suffice. :)

      This cable is fully featured, so has the higher 5A (100W) rating, and also has USB 3.0/3.1/3.2 pins connected up.

      Not all USB C cables are the same. Some can only go up to 3A (60W), some only have the USB 2.0 pins connected.

    Got more than 5 cables from Fasgear amazon store by now. They’re a bit pricey but indeed in good quality. Using this right angled cable with my Dell monitor and laptop for both power and display for quite a while now and really no complaints.
