"EA please stop this" haha oh man. I was addicted to FIFA for years (especially FUT) but looks like FIFA on the switch is a no go.
Technically it is because you can play the Switch on the go.

Forgetting that it's not as good as on other platforms, is it actually a bad game though? Or just not an improved one?
I'm thinking about getting for a youngster who doesn't have any previous editions or alternative game platforms.
I just bought it for my 10-year-old nephew who loves sport but hasn't got any FIFA. This is great for him (in light of the review) but I would not be impressed if I bought it thinking it contained massive improvements from the 2019 edition. I still have my PS4 copy of FIFA 18, which I bought from a JB discount bin for $3. Seems that's still the way to go for FIFA? Does that review only apply to Switch or is FIFA 22 on PS4/5 a similar story?

PS4/5 is a different story. Still not great, but Switch has been getting the raw end of the deal for FIFA for several years.

FIFA 18 = World Cup mode
FIFA 19 = improved graphics, physics.
FIFA 20 = FIFA 19 + roster update
FIFA 21 = FIFA 19 + roster update
FIFA 22 = FIFA 19 + roster update
For those who don’t know, Nintendo switch only has two FIFA titles. FIFA 18 and FIFA 19. Every future version of fifa is 19 with roster update.
FIFA 18 has World Cup mode.
FIFA 19 has upgraded visual and physics.
Fifa 22 won’t have a World Cup update if FIFA pulls out of the EA contract.
Serves EA right. They have been butchering games for far too long.
They don't deserve to release games.
The FIFA series on Switch is really terrible. I have FIFA21 which almost same as FIFA19, 18…really disappointed.
