  • Can any knife aficionados comment on the brand? There are so many knife brands with RRPs over $500 but they sell for $200, it's hard to keep up!

Not an aficionado but do like to buy once, buy well with kitchen stuff and these have served me well for almost a decade with no particular desire to change/upgrade.

Great brand and an awesome price.

Ozbargain tend to prefer Japanese knives. It really boils down to personal preference. From my experience/preference German style knives are better for rock chopping and Japanese better for precision

I'd recommend, buy the knives you need. Not a block of knives you might not use.

Easily get away with 2 knives in the kitchen.

    • I personally recommend the brand, and a few YT chefs I follow love them too (especially the zwilling x kramer knife). I got this block set earlier this year when it was on sale for around $350.

Got it because I've been using the same knife within this block set given by my grandfather for a long time. Retains its sharpness well and feels balanced.

wow thats a good buy. I bought the eight piece which includes one small knife for ~$270.

    Quality is good.

  • t's a very very good price for that block and you like German style knives.

It uses the same steel as other Zwillings far as I am aware; difference is in the handle and bolster.

I prefer German knives for doing heavier work and Japanese for precision work; generally it's German for veggies and Japanese for meat

  • I actually prefer the shape and solid heavy feel of our J.A. Henckels (different design to these) to the Globals we have. However the bolster (same as these) makes hand sharpening more difficult.

  • I view the henckels as slightly lesser version of wusthofs….but still decent enough I would buy as a buy once type brand

Would've bought if it has stock
    Zwilling is a great brand
