A good price for this router, although it looks a bit like an alien spaceship.
You can also get another $10 off with the code "MAX10" if placing a first time order through the Amazon app.

is that confirmed and how much of an impact is it?
yeah, I will be avoiding UK routers
Wouldn't the region settings in the router allow a way around this?
No. An Asus rep confirm this on WP
few on sale from uk

What does this have over https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B098R5MVHQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt…?
Asus Aura RGB.
80 bucks for rgb… I'd rather spend another 80 and make a mesh system - but perhaps that's just me
Is this ASUS TUF Gaming AX5400 UK version similar to the Australian version that can be found starting at 349 ?
If yes, it is a very good deal to consider for a second or third router for mesh
I currently have two , but i am suspecting the old on is not running proerly and disconnecting very often, so i will have to replace that
What about the AC plug? will it come with the UK one ?
yes same as AUs but some are saying UK doesnt have fast bands, not sure how accurate that is or impactful - would be good is someone can elaborate
worst case you just get an adapter to plug it in - for the savings of 50% its a no brainer - even without fast bands as you wont get anything this good in Aus for this $$
Have you tried a hard reset on the problematic one and setting it up again?
The TUF AX5400 has 6 antennas vs 4 on the RT-AX82U, so should on paper have better performance when more than 4 streams are able to be used. Although in real world performance it's probably negligible.
any point of upgrade over AC86U?
Any benefit using an AX router over AC if my NBN speed is only 100Mb/20Mb? I have only upgraded to the AC86U early this year.
yes but you will need a device/s that are AX capable else all will default to AC anyway…
So even if one device is wifi 5 will the whole network be then forced to use AC, even if there are other wifi 6 devices?
no each device's handshake is assessed if its AX/AC individually.
I got this AX5400 with a UK plug and its brilliant, dont see any issues at all…
do you need to get an adapter or does it come with one
What are the use cases for a router this fast? I'm looking for a new router but I don't really see any use, for me at least in the speeds that this can achieve. My internet maxes out at around 75Mbs which is decent, but wouldn't even put a dent in the potential bandwidth of this.
The general advantages are
But if you don't need that then wait awhile and they'll drop in price.
Hi all, is this also modem, saw it on optus nbn gaming plan.
UK models will be Missing those fast bands
