  • Good deal but not really a black friday sale if its in 5 days?

  • +10

I've ordered 1kg bean this week using code 50FORYOU, 50% off.

    • What does the code apply to?

      • I bought Sunset Blvd, it also worked on the single origin. I'm in VIC.

    • No free shipping with that code for people outside of VIC though.

    • Was this the code for the orders being so late last time?
I tried it on the weekend and it didn't work.

  • +2

Can I please request a delayed shipping option again like last time? It would be much appreciated!
    Thanks for your awesome work/coffee!

    • I would also like to request this option if possible

    • Yeah, Good deal, but bad timing for me.

    • I think that is enabled by default on their site when you select shipping, and from past deals, it appears to be fairly popular, so i wold assume it will be available this time as well.

  • +1

Note they don't use auspost for delivery in VIC or use resealable bags. Otherwise good deal.

    • mine has always been in resealable bags for the 500g filter whole beans.
delivery has been really good with Xpress to you, who have delivered the next day after picking up the order. (in VIC too)

      • Ah, must be only for the 1kg blends.

    • Not a deal breaker, the non-resealable bags are a real pain though.

      • +3

Wish they'd spend the extra 15 cents on resealable bags for the 1kg.

      • Not hard to reseal the bag with clips like this from IKEA: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/bevara-sealing-clip-set-of-30-m…

I just pour some into an airtight container which I use each day, when it empties, refill from the original bag which was clipped as above. Simple, keeps them fresh.

  • No delayed shipping?
I just ordered 1Kg of Roosevelt yesterday.

  • Same here, delayed shipping, please! Ordered 1kg of Sunset Blvd two days ago (with 25% discount).

  • any decaf lovers here who can speak on the decaf?

    • It's really really good IMO, one of my favorites

  • Anything off your drinking chocolate? That stuff is gold!

    • +1

      30%!

      • +5

I recommend you migrate to Shopify or similar cloud e-commerce platform. Today it was the most painful shopping experience in very very long time. It took me over 2.5 hours to place the order because the site was sooooooooooooooooo … soooooooooo slow! Every page/click took over 5 mins to load. Glad I was home otherwise I'd give up long time ago.

    • +1

how do you use that drinking chocolate? Just add milk and stir? any recommendations? Looking really tempting to give my wife as a gift

      • +1

Pretty much yes. I put in a very tiny amount of warm milk (or water but I prefer milk) in the bottom first (just enough the cover the powder) then stir till its incorporated before topping it up. It is much easier to dissolve this way than in a full cup.

Other option is to chuck it in with all your other ingredients into a blender (or other similar device) and make it a milkshake

  • I've ordered twice off this mob and twice my order has been sent wrong the last time I ordered 6 kilos they decided to send me 3kg

First order one bag came unsealed

    • FWIW we order every time there's a sale and haven't had too many issues aside from that time they sent Aeropress Go instead of normal ones (but eventually sorted us out)

  • Discount brings both Acaia models to a very attractive price.

    • +1

I really don't think from $273.90 reduced to $210.69 for Acaia Pearl is 30% off……….someone needs to check the math here….

      • +3

They then raised the price to $300.95 then reduced it to $210.69. To be honest, i am rather disappointed with what they pulled there……

        • They raised everything, the Roosevelt Blend was $45 for 2kg + $5 shipping (under $50). Now it's $55 with free shipping.

  • I bought it at the last promotion which was %50 and free shipping. And now I know why it was so chip !!!
I read comments ,people are giving good reviews . if they like this coffee beans which made me and my friends stomach upset.
I have my own espresso machine at home I have tried a lot of different speciality coffee beans and I know how to make coffee ,
Sometimes Reviews of other people can be different than your experience

    • +2

Yeah that's pretty much a review is. A persons opinion….

  • what time does the sale starts? Cheers

    • +1

      it's already started

  • Can you confirm all your brewing equipment is in stock and ready for delivery? Or is it held off site with another supplier? Keen to understand basically, when goods will be ready to ship.

  • +2

Website is painfully slow! After selecting a few products, shopping bag was empty! What a waste of time.

  • +1

Can everyone get off the website please, i'm trying to order and it's too slow - thanks

    • Seems to be suffering from 'Crock of Shit' syndrome. I'll try again when I have given up on living…

  • What can I buy for $5?

Need to make order $50 to get free shipping

    • No need. Just move to Victoria!

      • +1

        Nah, don't want COVID

        • +1

Got to take some risks for free shipping! Hence our move to Melbourne. ;-)

  • Do they still offer delay delivery? I think they use to

  • Is the website being ddos attacked?

    • +1

Nah! Just the regular problems that happen when two or more OzBargain members attempt to order on a sub par website.

Any savings on bean prices soaked up by the time spent waiting for website to malfunction.

      • +2

Haha yah I guessed had been ozbargained but I would have thought they would have paid for some upgraded hosting etc.

        • +2

Or just put the website behind free Cloudflare so that every image wasn't being loaded from the host and dragging down the whole website.

        • I bought something in the end but post seems a little deceptive - not everything in those categories seems discounted completely.

    • Is there a IT Help Desk number we could call?

  • Just ordered 5kgs and a coffee scrub - (tagged on some orders for my colleagues): Sunset BLVD here we come.

Took a little bit for the order to go through, just assumed the site is being spammed.

Great coffee - great price - keep up the good work

  • Does this sale only apply to thir 1KG range?

  • The single origin filter beans still showing as $66 for 1kg. Is that right?

    • Seems like the sale only applies to their 500g bags. Got 2x500g bags + V60 paper filters for free shipping ;)

  • +3

Odd. Prices seem to have gone up! 1kg Roosevelt Blend now discounted to $27.50. I paid $22.50 yesterday.

    Smells fishy coffee…

    • +2

Also suspect they have risen the RRP from $50 to $55 during the sale.

    • Confirmed from your old order email or something?
I was tempted but the timing was bad since I haven't even opened my Airjo order yet, but if they've done a Kogan of sorts then meh, I'll wait it out then.

      • Yep. Email yesterday and charged to card as well. Assume that the price has automagically gone up by $10/kg…

    • I purchased a week ago at $55. It was $50 prior to that but it was definitely $55 yesterday.

      • Ouch! $55/kg! OzB membership badge in danger. I assume that you have a note from your doctor explaining your urgent need for caffeine - even at hipster coffee emporium prices!

        ;-)

        • I used a coupon and got 50% off…I just meant the price was $55 kg at full price. So it wasn’t jacked up today like you claimed. It’s been that price for at least a week.

          • @UndeclaredFreak: Close call. Had me worried there. So… I'll just be happy that I'm getting a full kilo for $22.50 then.

            • @lostincanberra: The price did 'raise', the Roosevelt Blend was $45 for 2kg + $5 shipping (under $50). Now it's $55 with free shipping. I'm 100% certain and it was a bug I mentioned. It should have stayed at the price for Black Friday though. Fix bugs.

    • I was going to be ordering 4 or 5kg of sunset blvd and Roosevelt to share with friends and family but prices have gone up from $22.50 to $27.50. If the price doesn't get fixed back to 50% off I think I'll pass

      • Edit. I am an idiot. 50% is $27.50. When I viewed it on their site originally there was a bug apparently and heaps of people scored 1kg bags for $22.50

  • @Jackson14

Appears to be 1kg bags only, at least for the blends.

  • Op, I love your coffee but for the love of all that is decent, fire whoever built your website and relaunch on a proper good platform!

    • +2

Maybe on the way there, also fires that someone who came up with the shady idea of baiting people with advertising high discount rate and then jack up the price on the sale day. I was a fan since you began and I hope you all the best, but you've lost me now.

  • Order received today but they sent the wrong item…second time now. Never again
