    I got the same text and checked but when I click on the banner it says I've already used my free trial… Not sure I trust them enough not to charge me, I've just been through doing a chargeback through credit card for the last time they screwed me over, F eBay.

      This happened to me 2 years ago when 1 year free promote was on clicked on banner and it charged me in full, eBay support refused to refund i end up filing Paypal dispute

    It has come to our attention that there is a technical issue with the “New 30-Day Free Trial” that was sent as part of the “Save on Black Friday deals today!” email (sent on 15 November 2021). We are working to fix the issue by the end of the week. If you received the email, subsequently signed up to an eBay Plus monthly membership and were charged, eBay will credit your account for that amount (i.e. $4.99).         I got the same whereby I ticked the free for 1-month box and cancelled straight away and then saw my benefits last till Nov 2022, however I'm worried I will be charged the $49 at some stage, so maybe we are not off the hook.

        EDIT: low and behold I got charged, it took a while before showing up in my credit card. On the phone now with them trying to get my money back!

      I got it too, but when you click that banner, it will charge you the full $49 but when you click this banner, it will charge you the $49.00 after the 1 month free trial.

I'm wondering if the same thing has happened to me as I signed up for the 1 month free and canceled straight away, but it is saying I will still enjoy the benefits till 19 Nov 2022, so I'm wondering if it will charge me soon. I checked my credit card and there is no charge presently. Also, in case I need it, what is the number you called for eBay?

      EDIT: Low and behold I ended up getting charged the $49 and am now on the phone with them trying to sort it out.

    Not really related to this deal but I'm old ebay plus member (cancelled Oct 2020) and I was randomly charged 49.00 bux today. After numerous calls between PayPal and ebay they finally verified that the payment was on their end and shouldn't have gone through. After probing further she admitted I wasn't the only one to receive this charge by mistake.

    Just putting this here incase someone else gets a random 49.00 charge.

    Please KEEP IN MIND their customer service beyond any class, lack of decision making and purely bureaucratic behaviour
    I personally expierienced when the seller/s advertises expired promotion codes and managment have no rights to act on sellers
    that's why major retailers like coles have already removed themselves as ebay were unable to handle them

    I thought I might be eligible, today I rang "Have us call you", was told I had a 12 month membership which expired 4 Dec 2021, that was news to me. I have not been getting eBay Plus email offers, no renewal email and there is no membership page I can access, it's as though I never was an eBay Plus member! I have been getting spasmodic/intermittent pop ups offering the "$40 eBay Plus Voucher" and "The best of eBay for only $4.99 a month". When I click "Join now" I get "You have already tested eBay Plus for free. If you sign up now, the membership fee is due immediately." and the $4.99 page does not lead to a $4.99 a month sign up, the only option offered is the $49.00 Can anyone else access the pay by the month option?

        The chat agent eventually got back and acknowledged I was wrongly charged, said "refund" would be processed within 7-10 business days. Not that I had been charged yet, and I removed my payment method before they could.
