Played Deathloop?
Deathloop is overrated.
I got to the point with Deathloop where I just wanted it to be over at the end. Not nearly as flexible as advertised.
Played, finished and returned. A cool concept, with oodles of style, but it fell flat in the second half for me.
I tend to not enjoy overly difficult games, in fact I often hate them. I loved the challenge in Returnal for some reason.
With Deathloop, once you get the teleport ability (Blink?) and the power to connect enemies together (Nexus?), the rest of the game is just so easy. There's some context to the poor AI in terms of the storyline, but that just felt like an excuse to me. I would still recommend playing it, because there are plenty of positives, but it could absolutely wait until the price drops.

All the PS5 games I've ordered have been sealed anyway. It's the Switch games that mostly aren't, and that's a Nintendo thing, but it comes up in the comments (and reviews) on Amazon deals all the time.
What am I missing, why does OP think this may not be sealed? I bought a copy, and don't really mind if it's sealed or not but literally any other game (ex Switch) I've ever bought from them has been sealed so not sure why this wouldn't be?

100% my GOTY. It's one of my top 10 fav games ever. Im so dirty it didn't make GOTY, I wanted it to get mainstream recognition and then maybe some DLC with a GOTY edition….

I got bored of GoT, the game gets very repetitive after 10 hours and the combat and encounters arent deep enough. Whereas Returnal I platinumed and will continue to play because the combat and controls are so solid every encounter feels unique.

I don't know what their current trade value on this is but based on the listed sale price of used copies ($98) I'd guess about $30. Depending on your EB world level you could pick up about $50 in credit on Friday if they are trading in at the $30 mark currently. I've gotten some excellent trade deals in these specials previously, more than the private resale value of games.

Been waiting for this drop to $50 and got the email from camel3 this morning.
One of the best uses of the PS5 (control feedback, sound and graphics) and recently made a lot better (for shorter sessions) with an update that lets you save mid run. Purchased played and finished at launch but its one I keep going back to. Was happy to see Sony take the developer in house as I really want to see another Returnal or more content for Returnal.
Going by the public consensus, im surprised RE:Village was nominated ahead of this for GOTY….
The shill awards are irrelevant. An awards show that is littered with sponsorships, voted on by media outlets that are influenced by publishers… nothing suss.
I dont really buy that TBH. Considering there is something like 150 voters and a huge chunk of reviewers/journalists are very outspoken about the topic, i think the 'bad' ones will be i the minority. From what i could se, Returnal was slightly polarising whereas RE was generally liked, if not loved, by most who played it.
Looking through the nominees in most categories, they seem pretty accurate as a concensus.

I don't see an issue with industry experts picking, it happens in almost all forms of sport and entertainment.
@p1owz0r: The issue is the "experts" literally get paid by the publishers whose games are nominated both directly and by getting early access to their products. It's a conflict of interest and therefore should not be taken seriously whatsoever.
These publishers have been known to fly games media sites to parties and events to showcase their games and shower them with promos and gifts. You think they do that out of the goodness of their heart? No, they are trying to get the reviewers to favour their product so they are more likely to get good reviews and award nominations.
@solidsnek: I don’t think in all cases they are paid by the publisher. You’d know about it if every shitty AAA release was getting 95 on metacritic.

I only played <10-15 games for example - no use me voting on the best games when i havent played many! At least reviewers play them!
