Useless company. They didn't not approve my application. No reason whatsoever. Only told me I do not meet their internal criteria.

    • Sounds like you've had one too many car accidents brah

Clean driving history! No accidents! No demerits! I have 10 years license! NCB 5!

        • how far away from the popcar cars do you live?

Typical blame others but not yourself.

I think the issue is they didn't explain. That's fair enough

      Thanks for the information,
Even if I meet their criteria knowing they'll conduct needless history checks I will skip.

All these standby plans signup promos are attempts by failing companies to paint some investor a pretty picture linear charts.

Didn't not approve… So they approved it? Double negative for not not confusion

Their sign up process is stupid as heck. They can run as many promotions as they want but if they don't change their sign up process there won't be any new customers 🤷🏻‍♂️

Took me 4 times to get their drivers license validation to work only to find there are no cars in WA… such a waste of time.

    • looking at their map, they only have a presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Gold Coast.

Not quite the same but I really value Car Next Door. It's a bit clunky but around inner Melb there are so many to choose from.
If only there was a scheme for cheaper weekend trip hire.

    • i signed up when i was on holiday there. so easy and they had a $15 referral credit scheme going. ended up going with the hotel's rental cars out of convenience.

  • Not gonna bother providing all the info just to get auto rejected.
They are in a crowded market, saying MeToo. All the cars are in a small subset of the other ten plus car share businesses in Melb. None local to me, so they will auto reject according to their ts&cs.

Got disapproved with no reason, regular hirer of goget with no accidents.

I signed up a couple of months ago when they were doing a $100 free credit promo (inferior to the deal posted above).

The process was acceptably smooth and they honoured the free credit. Bit of criticism in the replies to this deal, so I'm just jumping in to point out that they were fine for me. I used the $100 credit to hire a Hiace van and essentially move house for free 👍

    • I tried to hire a van to move using cudo coupon so i could hire a van for almost nothing. But because i got declined, can't hire a van and had to use goget

  • +2

I would say stick to Goget or Flexicar.

  • Received a call about how I am using the car and they approved.

  • Same here. Clean driving history, regular goget user and my application was rejected with no explanation and a refusal from their customer support to reveal why. Waste of time.
