[PC, Steam] Crazy Machines 3 - $1.49 (save 90%) @ Steam

410

This one's for anyone who used to love the incredible machine puzzle game series from back in the 90s - it's a modernised version of the same type of game.

"Overwhelmingly positive" reviews on steam; well worth 1/3 of a la di da Melbourne coffee.

Higher, faster, larger, crazier, trickier, and so much more 3D: that's Crazy Machines 3!*

Place missing pieces into zany chain reactions and turn them into ingeniously working machines to solve puzzles like these:

How do you successfully punch an Egyptian statue in the face? How do you shoot a kettle from the head of a clumsycorn with a 'high precision crossbow'? How do you >jumpstart the grey-matter-engine of that old junker of a space taxi?
Find out in Crazy Machines 3!*

Thanks & Sorry I didn’t want to spoil your deal but those who would like buy from CDKeys can get $0.99. I just posted.

Good find, but for 50c I'd rather have it in my Steam library

      • +3

It’s a steam key so it activates into your Steam library anyway. The Steam version is free if you just sell some trading cards though.

Thanks for your thoughts, but I wouldn't call 50c through a somewhat questionable 3rd party reseller spoilt.

It's kind of like buying through an authorized reseller vs a gray import, so each deal will appeal to different people

I recommend using Augmented Steam while shopping on the Steam store - it will tell you current best (using IsThereAnyDeal) and historical best prices

    https://augmentedsteam.com/

It shows current best in AUD as $1.07 from Fanatical ($1.02 as historical best). I believe it doesn't use CDKeys as a reference because the source of the keys on that site is a bit murkier.

Decent price if you've got Steam credit to use though

    • From AugmentedSteam web page:

"To ensure quality of service, requests to our servers are logged. These logs contain your IP address and are stored for no longer than 90 days, but usually 30 days."

Oh yeah for "quality of service". Riiiiiggghhht.

It's getting to the point where I need to take a shower after buying a game on any platform.

      • You can just go look at IsThereAnyDeal manually if you're concerned about data collection from Augmented Steam. I've no issue either way, just trying to help when someone's posted a Steam deal that was shortly found cheaper elsewhere

The comment wasn't on you at all. I agree you were being helpful in presenting an option. I just can't believe how bad things have gotten.

I remember running out of room on my 120MB maxtor hard drive, so I had to delete TIM.

    • +3

Wow I had to make a similar decision to delete Dune II from my 386 when Command & Conquer was released. Tough times.

        Yeah, same. Dark days indeed.

I remember my mate bringing quake over on 19 x 1.44mb floppies… I refused to believe him that it was just the shareware version

          • @barge-in hunter: Those were the days!

@mickeyjuiceman: I remember my man downloading a maze game, onto the kit PC he had built himself, from a cassette recorder. This was the storage du jour for home computing in 1980. I bought him a floppy drive for his birthday and it cost me a packet. He then had to work out how to interface it.

          • @barge-in hunter: The joke was that Windows 95 was an indicator of how many floppies you would need to install it.

  • TIM was an amazing series. I still remember the lame rap song on the sequel lol
