Yes, although NAS drives are designed to be running 24/7, not turned on and off in a personal computer. So it may wear out sooner than a desktop drive.

How much would one normally go for?
When I was tracking prices 2 months ago they were around the $159 mark, prices have dropped since and looks the new normal is $149.
Would like one as one of my drives is dying but I'm going to hold off until Black Friday. Hopefully see some larger drives then.

8TB model is about AUD230 in Hong Kong at the moment, reckon under $250 in Australia is pretty good price.
