Looks to be re-actiavated
…oh dammit I just ordered 6 from Umart at $139 ea.
Can use as stand alone drive not in NAS?
Yes, although NAS drives are designed to be running 24/7, not turned on and off in a personal computer. So it may wear out sooner than a desktop drive.
Thought it might be better MTBF?
You might be right. Here are answers of both yes and no from Quora.
How much would one normally go for?
When I was tracking prices 2 months ago they were around the $159 mark, prices have dropped since and looks the new normal is $149.
Would like one as one of my drives is dying but I'm going to hold off until Black Friday. Hopefully see some larger drives then.
Thanks. Bought the 8tb for $262.65
$250 and I'll bite. It's only 12 bucks but for some reason it feels like a lot.
8TB model is about AUD230 in Hong Kong at the moment, reckon under $250 in Australia is pretty good price.
Yep, I did the same. I'll see if there is a better deal again on black Friday, but I've hedged my bets this way (I need 2 eventually)
Great, pulled the trigger on 2 disks for 253$! Now I need a jucy offer on a Synology DS220j, thanks OP!
I just tried this deal with the code PLUSTCH and you need to be an eBay plus member.
9 cents cheaper but at harris tech if people are over the discount error
Harris tech via Amazon sent me a mesh kit that was 3 APs with 2 APs. Discovered it too late and lucky Amazon gave me some credit to put it right.
HT is turning into a bit of a circus.
Is it CMR?
Yes, the Ironwolfs are CMR.
Isn't code.expired on the original deal?
