Is there any warranty purchasing for stores like this on eBay?

    • I was wondering the same in regards to warranty , could not see anything on the site.

      • +2

        They have return policy

        Return policy
        Item must be returned within
30 days after the buyer receives it
The seller is responsible for return postage costs.

You must return items in their original packaging and in the same condition as when you received them. If you don't follow our item condition policy for returns, you may not receive a full refund.

Refunds by law: In Australia, consumers have a legal right to obtain a refund from a business if the goods purchased are faulty, not fit for purpose or don't match the seller's description. More information at returns.

Said Manufacturer Warranty: 2 Years (No idea about them but if you buy from Banggood I think the same)

    • +3

On Ebay, I generally accept that there is no warranty unless seller is big box Australian store. ie Ebay warranty from an overseas company is the same as Banggood. Non existant.

      • +3

If so, then what is that 2 years manufacturer warranty about?

      • Ebay themselves have recently taken a big leap of faith and are strongarming companies into following their promises.

Recently had ebay do what paypal used to, refund me, give me a postage label, and tell me they will chase up the seller.

        • Tell us more about how you pulled this off? Sometimes I find the seller has closed shop in a few months leaving no traces behind. Did ebay pickup the tab in the this case?? Thanks.

          • @Naigrabzo: I started a live chat with ebay, and told them the item didnt match the description, and the seller wasnt responding (shop was dodgy as, i knew I was being risky).

Their response was "ebay doesnt make you pay for incorrect items, let me refund that for you" and they processed the refund.

            Happened twice now.

Dunno what else to tell you; but i assume it changed in the last 4 months or so, as part of their plastering of their "ebay guarantees" on every shopfront and main page. I assume faith was dropping (perhaps thanks to amazon?) so they stepped up their promises?

Dunno, all I know is I approve of the changes, and find them super easy to phone and chat now.

            • @MasterScythe: So that's not really a warranty issue. More like a lemon on delivery.

I think someone was asking about warranty which can come up 1-3 years after you buy a phone etc.

              thanks for your detailed reply.

F**K I brought it full price!!!!!!!

    • +3

Don't worry, just think about iPhone users.

      • Ok that's helping.. But every time I see this post I'm reminded I paid 440 for the 128gb :(

  • Any warranty or anyone has got any experience of buying from this seller? Are items shipped from within Australia like from Granville NSW? How is their customer service? Does phone come with Australian Warranty?

  • +1

Yeah wondering the same about the warranty. Contemplating to get this, hoping it's better than my 2year old Samsung Note 10 plus. Battery is crap on my note 10

  • +1

Be nice if Amazon AU put it out there for the same price.

  • Poco m3 pro or the Poco x3 pro?

I have no idea, but heard good things about the X3 .Its about $20 more.

    • X3 is better Snapdragon

      • Cheers

        • But M3 is a bit smaller and lighter, X3 quite heavy

          • @superforever: 3.5x1.5x0.5mm smaller.
            25g lighter.
Quite a small difference compared to the performance loss you could get

Poco F3 is like the best bang for buck phone this year.

  • what version of Android is it running? Will it auto update/support the next version of Android when it gets released?

    • +1

The F3 is on Android 11, and Android 12 is in Beta for it (but works pretty well - running it on my phone now with the Xiaomi.eu Weekly ROM from Friday).

It's meant to get Android 13 too, but I guess you never really know - thankfully, unlocking the bootloader is pretty easy so you'll be able to use the custom ROMs people make for it in the future

      • Is that official ROM? Don't want to play with custom ROM anymore

        • +1

So, the xiaomi.eu ROM is MIUI with the crappy bits taken out. Apparently there's some deal for the Europeans that means that if you use it, it doesn't void your warranty.

So, it's custom in that you need an unlocked bootloader, but it's just MIUI without the garbage. It updates itself through the Update app in the phone, just like the Stock version (though, it boots into TWRP to flash the update).

Pretty painless, and made the F3 that was VERY buggy on release much less buggy and more usable.

Otherwise? I guess save up a few more pennies for the Pixel 6, I think there are some pretty great deals floating around for the base models.

I'll definitely stick with the F3 for a while though, I think it's a pretty reasonable phone, with a few annoying things about it.

Here's a link to the forum, if you like - there's a list of enhancements in the first post https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/21-11-3.63795/

  • Assuming nfc compatible?

          Sorry. I'm an irrepressible dad-joker

  • Need to get my little son a Xmas pressie.

    Poco X3 or Redmi Note 11 6.6" 5G?

    https://m.fasttech.com/p/9745663

I like the look of the X3.

    Bloody too many phones!

      Is this China version?

      • Fasttech Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 6.6" 5G Smartphone (128GB/US/EU)
Don't know if its a US or EU version as it shows that it is both then in LANGUAGES English, Simplified Chinese so I suppose it Chinese.

    • Ok, Redmi note it is, much better specs. And cheaper.

      • Are you looking in US or AUD? The Redmi is $352 aus. You can get the X3 pro for under $300 aud

  • Running ArrowOS on mine, love it. Xiaomi.eu gave me funky issues with audio/storage for some reason.. didn't bother with the stock rom.

Just a heads-up, there is a 1 week waiting period required to unlock the bootloader.

  • Anyone using this OS? Any issues with google play store?

  • +1

Waiting for Amazon. Give us the F3 256gb/8gb!

    • +1

I'm sweating on this as well at a good price.

  • Thanks OP! Bought 1
