Hi everyone. This is my first post as a CR rep, and hopefully not my last. TA would normally be posting this but he has a lot on these days, so he's handballed the honour my way. The formatting of the OP is similar to what he's done in the past, so credit to him. Hope you enjoy the deal.

The $5 bonus will show as pending in your Cashrewards immediately upon activation of the offer (no confirmation email is sent). This will be automatically approved within 7 days of the associated qualifying purchase being approved (as per the terms of the store).

Please read the terms below carefully - it will save a lot of questions. Ensure you activate the bonus prior to shopping. Once activated, shop as normal via the 'Shop Now' (Store) or 'Activate Now' (Notifier) buttons on Cashrewards. Valid for purchases from 11:00am 08/11/21 to 10:59pm 08/11/21 (AEDT).

$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  • To be eligible for the $5 bonus, first activate the promotion on this page, then shop as normal via BIG W online on Cashrewards.
  • After activation, transaction must be made between 11:00AM AEDT 08/11/21 and 10:59PM AEDT 08/11/21.
  • Bonus is eligible on qualifying purchases of AUD $50 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping). Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST, so the amount shown in your account may be less than $50 - you will still be eligible for the bonus.
  • Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  • Bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rate which still applies to the transaction.
  • Transaction is valid if made online (not in-store) via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  • Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  • Bonus is ineligible: on Apple, Dyson, XBOX, PS4, PS5; on baby food and formula; on purchase or redemption of gift cards; when using codes not listed on Cashrewards; if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected.
  • Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc) and VPNs, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost.         If one could pay with Amazon GC and still get cashback for Amazon purchase OR pay with Woolworths wish card and still get cashback for BigW purchase, then hopefully it should work for this promo too.

            @[Deactivated]: I think you'll find a number of people are asking whether transactions paid for in full or in part with gift cards will void cashback at BIG W, because ShopBack clearly state in their terms for BIG W that the redemption of Woolworths WISH gift cards will not void cashback.

            Your colleague has also previously stated that cashback terms don't differ between cashback sites, so there's three scenarios:

            • Cashrewards' page (stating any purchases paid for with gift cards will void cashback) is incorrect.
            • ShopBack's page (stating any purchase paid for with Woolworths WISH gift cards will not void cashback) is incorrect.
            • BIG W has set out separate cashback terms for Cashrewards and ShopBack (and your colleague is incorrect).

            Could you please confirm with BIG W whether purchases paid for in part or in full with BIG W or Woolworths WISH gift cards (physical or digital) will void cashback?

              @WookieMonster: The 4th scenario is CR will pocket the commissions from those purchases as profit.

              I just checked again that I have purchased on Big W via SB many times this year and all purchases using eGC and/or $EDR were approved.

                Rubbish. Why make such a ridiculous statement? The change to the terms (by the client) around payments with WISH came when we recently on-boarded BIG W. Do you honestly think we'd not want members to use WISH cards if they were eligible? If SB has been slow to update their terms, this is not something we can control. And yes, your previous purchases were approved as this condition is a new one. Thanks.

                  @tightarse: Terms is still not tight enough there as Big W eGC is not mentioned. Many people have access to 5% off it, which makes the standard 0.4 or 3% cashback not useful.

              @WookieMonster: Hi WookieMonster. I can assure you that payments made with WISH cards at BIG W will void cashback. There has been ongoing discussion directly with the client around this exact condition and they are aware of the terms on SB. We too obviously wanted WISH to be a valid form of payment, but they have told us that this condition no longer applies and that SB has recently been asked to alter their terms. I suggest it's only a matter of time before this change to their terms is made by them. Thank you.

    Can you use a team member discount and still be eligible for cashback?

    NOTE: For clarification, I am not a team member nor have access to a team member discount nor have friends or family with a team member discount, but it would be something worth clarifying and publishing on the BIG W page on Cashrewards for future reference to avoid any doubt. For example, cashback with First Choice Liquor or Liquorland is ineligible if you use a team member discount, and that is clearly stated on their Cashrewards pages.

        Because I don’t want other people to get burned when they apply a team member discount and thinking they’re within BIG W’s rules and then have BIG W and say “sorry, no cashback for you, because you used a team member discount”.

        Cashrewards has clearly made an effort to clearly spell out that team member discounts at some businesses will void cashback, and I’m politely pointing out to the CR rep that they should also do the same for BIG W.

        Is there an issue with being concerned about other people unintentionally voiding cashback?
