After a number of requests and the success of this deal, the folks at the eBay Baseus store have set up a discount code that conveniently stacks with the current eBay promotion to provide a sharp price on these HDMI 2.1 cables. They have 1,000 of these and judging by the last deal, they zip through them pretty quickly. So a good opportunity for those specifically in need of HDMI 2.1 cables.

Prices for eBay Plus members (slightly more for non-eBay Plus members) are:

1m Cable $7.05
2m Cable $12.69
3m Cable $14.10

  • The item claims HDMI 8K@120Hz, but I think they mean 4K@120.

    • In the descriptions it clearly show 4k/120

Ebay item title, and also again in bold "Baseus HDMI v2.1 to HDMI 8K@120Hz 48Gbps Ultra HD Cable for PS5 TV Box Splitter"

        • +1

Yes I see that, I am supporting you it's 4k/120.

  • +1

Yeah hdmi 2.1 can only do 8k at 30hz. 48Gbps can’t even handle 60hz without resorting to compressing the data.

  • I don't know how many of you really need 8k if it can handle 4k/120 I am happy with it.

  • Any charger for usb c?

  • ya im looking for HDMI to usb C

  • Baseus HDMI v2.1 to HDMI 8K@120Hz 48Gbps

The heading is confusing in the listing. It's 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz.

    Are these hdmi 2.1 certified?

  • Will these do 4k for my Xbox X, or should I go to trusty Selby cables ?

    • You should look for HDMI certified 2.1 cable if you want a better success rate of utilising up to 48Gbps.

Have a read through this, as it also contains some user feedback based on their experience with certain cables.

XBox X as in XBox Series X? It comes with a cable capable of 4K/120Hz, you need another one?
If you have Series X and a 4K/120Hz or 8K/60Hz display, then it is quite easy: buy the cable, test it, if it doesn't work, return it.

A lot of people after certified cables are probably ones without the right display or TV and just want to future proof. Though, honestly, there is really no point getting HDMI 2.1 cables now if you don't have a HDMI 2.1 capable display or TV.

  • If you’re running cables through a wall put in the best you can to start with unless it’s easy to thread through new ones.
