How does this monitor do that?

By checking your AGM is not going under 50%

excellent addition to any solar system

    except those without batteries

    • I can't imagine why you would have a solar system and not a battery, to power lights during the day?

  • Or you can buy identical on Ebay for less.

    • @unifex But it's not a "Renogy" battery monitor. So it's hard to compare.

      • I bought an identical eBay one a few weeks back, works well.

      • +1

Im sure they all have the same basic hardware in them. Most of these so called specials (can't compare it because its my dodgy brand not their dodgy brand) are usually exactly the same inside. And sure you can find specific examples of this not being the case (that blue battery charger for example) but most of this stuff is cheaply manufacturered chinese volume production that gets a five minute brand plastered on it and pretend its different from all the others.

    • Yes, same thing, but with 1m cable except 6m. There are even cheaper ones than that.

I bought a different one with a brand name for $180, then saw it for $130. Another seller had it with a different branding and shorter cable for $65!

  • Same price as on eBay Also sold by Renogy
