    Yes, but the stock ram is ECC, this is Non-ECC.
    You'll not be able to use them concurrently, and you will not get the stability / data security of ECC memory.

  Can I slap this into my HP 14s-fq0031au. all I know about my laptop ram is that it's ddr4 sodimm and the Max is 2400mhz. Also for some reason HP decided to be stupid and only make 1 ram slot in this laptop.
  Not sure what else to check in ram compatibility.

  I am in urgent need for ram because my laptop has an AMD processor and 4gb ram is just not good enough.
