So much "bang for buck" features for this phone, UK version though but totally worth the money. For those who need global version, there is also a deal on OzBargain https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659058

Warranty I presume.
But it's still non-AU warranty. I still don't see how warranty is supposedly "better"?
I suppose, at a stretch, Amazon UK warranty you might presume is better than Banggood?
Yes. Exactly that.
Didn't it used to be the frequencies the phone used in the radio chips?
Noticed your link to the global version as well OP. I paid $350 on Monday off the previous deal for the 8gb 256gb version and this included express shipping and shipping insurance.
Their after sales customer service has actually been amazing. My tracking says the phones in Sydney for the past 3 days but they've responded immediately with support via live chat.
Link to cheaper deals for this phone https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/poco-x3-pro
I paid just over $300 from memory
Would this have EU ROM or Global?
No deal. I paid $336 for this in April.
I'm pretty sure you'll find this is global version. Warranty should be solid as you're buying through amazon AU.
Can anyone comment around how heavily skinned Android is on this and general user experience?
I love vanilla albeit have been using Huawei happily for the last few years and Xiaomi before that. My Huawei time seems destined to end!
It's MIUI so going to be the same as any other xiaomi.
I have a redmi note 9 pro and historically I've debloated / installed custom roms. This time around I couldn't be bothered and I've stuck with miui.
There are scripts floating around to remove various apps / things you don't really want on the phone, but for the most part you don't "have to" and it's a perfectly functional OS.
If I had to pick gripes, one of the primary ones would be that the battery saver is too aggressive. Apps which you want to alert you constantly, such as smartwatch software for notifications you would need to make a conscious effort to go and disable battery saver for this. Pretty sure you can disable it in entirety. The plus side is the battery lasts me 2 days if I forget to charge it.
Split screen view is well implemented aswell.
I don't like the stock launcher at all and I use smart launcher personally.
Overall, I really like MIUI but it could do without some of the bullshit.
Thanks mate :)
Anyone used this with Razer kishi? It doesn't work with oppo allegedly, so I'm dubious on it with poco too.
You rock
The poco x3 GT is a much nicer looking phone
Can anyone comment on the camera quality? I'm considering Redmi Note 10 Pro as the alternative and understand it to be much better.
Legend. Thank you!
The Note 10 Pro has better image quality out of the box. Use a gcam port and the differences will likely be negligible though. But it doesn't have EIS when video recording as the SD732 can't handle it.
Thank you very much!
Let me clarify that the EIS I was referring to is for 4k 30fps. The Note 10 Pro has EIS too but only up to 1080 30fps.
Been running Android 12 on mine for a few weeks, very solid device in terms of performance, been pretty happy except for the well documented ghost touch and average camera quality.
Just got my phone from Banggood. I have to say it's a great decision to switch back from IPhone 11 to this Android phone. Everything is better experience. The camera is a surprise to me. It used to be the weakness of low budget Android phone but the X3 Pro camera is pretty good.
So much memory denial.. they really like to milk us for the sake of profits and margins.
Would it hurt them to put more ram in this configuration.
8gb exist, and they are often cheaper than this on bang good.
Just that no one really cares cause Android doesn't use that much ram. And it's Xiaomi, it probably acts like a 2gb ram phone.
true but it is just a little future proofing to be on the safe conservative side in terms of stopping app crashes
It just feels like with the hardware we now have the ram is the one lacking a little bit
Battery we can't really do much because that is dependent on size and research but an extra 2 to 4 gb of ram is like adding an extra camera or something but the difference is having 20 apps extra in memory comparee to maybe say 5
Atm, android don't use alot of ram. You can keep 6 games open no problem. 6gb will be future proofing for years to come due to android fragmentation, meaning devs need to support for even 3gb ram phones.
If you're using Xiaomi and struggling to keep apps opened, that's a problem of the aggressive ram management from miui. They kill apps for the sake of preserving battery, supposedly.
Don't buy this. Wait for the redmi note 11 pro to be available in a couple of weeks. Google it.
Might as well wait for the redmi note 12 cause it's coming in 4 months.
Pretty sure ye that's no correct. Way longer.
Note 5 pro was 2018. Their production cycle on the lower lines are ridiculously quick now.
Dimensity 920 SoC hey
Yep.
I doubt if it will be in this price range though. ~$345 for 8GB, 256GB version is a great deal for Poco X3 Pro.
It's redmi note 11 pro $260 USD.
Specs and pricing? Otherwise we will be blind
@mckayver: Pricing?
@Cinnamon Crunch: It's redmi note 11 pro $260 USD
In super confused. Why is this being upvoted over the better and cheaper one op linked?
Amazon (discounted gift card, cash back) + warranty is the main reason I guess
If anyone needs two phones or have another buyer, I would recommend to buy from Banggood (via HK warehouse) - $321 delivered. 8GB, 256GB global version. Note that Group Buy option (min 2 persons in this case) is only available via Banggood app.
So this comes with a case?
Weird comment on a reddit thread suggests it does? Important to me for razer kishi attachment
It comes with a clear tpu case yes. And screen protector pre-applied
Thanks
