  Both have use cases. We have a v7 for downstiars areas which is tiled, used predominately to quick/spot clean areas etc and for upstairs which is carpet sees a weekly clean with the big ball. you could prob get away with just the stick vac, but my v7 struggles on carpet and the battery wouldnt last

  The Dyson big ball vac is still one of my favourite vacuum for cleaning the entire floor and apartment. I feel like the sticks will always be limited by the battery that they carry despite the 6 years of innovation from Dyson between when this was released and latest stick vac.
