What are various vouchers/barcodes available to save on fuel, other than supermarket dockets?
I am aware of Toyota & Uber (Caltex/Ampol) and Carsales (Coles Express). Thanks!
What Are Various Vouchers/Barcodes Available to Save on Fuel?

Costco has been more reliable lately than the old choppa, but not for everyone of course.
It's not as fun to say "get to Costco" though.
Just checked and jeeeesus 149c for 91… that is expensivo
over 1.8x round here… LPG was 94 yesterday
I paid over $2 for 98 other day :(
need to work from home moreThat's the bottom end of the price cycle in Perth now. Topping out at 183.9
Coles 4c + carsales 4c + flybuys is the best I've found.
Considering coles express is usually >20c higher than most, not a great deal.
They often price match United (the cheapest) in my state. So you can use Coles vouchers for 4c off or autoclub for 6c off at United. Can be a bit of a tug of war between them.
I can't speak for your area but Coles is usually only 2c more than the cheapest price in my area. Maybe because they are quite close together.
Is petrol price the only thing you exaggerate?
Of course not.. always embellish
Actually I'm in awe of your intellectual prowess..
Could you possibly assist me with a complex mathematical equation -Coles Express - $1.79
Metro - $1.51
Apex - $1.59
Speedway -$1.54For some reason I can't seem to figure out the price difference.
@randomusername2017: My closest Coles Express is 1.59 so yeah, depends where you are.
Just drive less (or more economically) Guaranteed to spend less on fuel.
Geelong 5c a litre when they win
Shell V8 racing car team when they win 5c a litre
(can only be stacked with coles receipts.)And if those aren't available, you can use a 4c Linkt voucher if you have an account
Pay with HSBC debit card for 2% cashback
Amd the 4c coles and 4c carsales discounts on top of course…
Are there any annual fees with that card
Nope, its their usual banking account https://www.hsbc.com.au/accounts/products/everyday-global/
As long as you add $2000 every month which can be taken out on the same day. E.g. Set automatic transfer $2000 in and $2000 out. Dont need to keep the $2000 in the HSBC.
EG club app (used to be the Woolies fuel price checker) also gives you some initial discounts.
Can then also use discounted wish cards
Don't think you get the 5c discount any more when signing up.
Was good while it lasted though. 5c + 4c + 4% Wish discount.
In WW Petrol if you spend $5 you get an extra 4c off your petrol. Stack it will your discount voucher to get 8c off. I'll buy bread and milk when I'm filling up the car
bread and milk
Guessing the convenience tax would outweigh the saving compared to supermarket pricing.
5% off AmpolCash with Suncorp Rewards + 4c Woolies discount
I never understand why theres 2 servos (or where I did live 6 servos within 2 klm BP/2 shell/2 mobil/coles) next to each other and a 15+ cent difference - and people still use the expensive ones.. ???

Just about every car I’ve seen with injector issues and a contaminated fuel tank has been after filling up at United or Apco.
Are you a mechanic? Or is it a confirmation bias?
Ask someone with injectors issues if they’ve ever filled up at a cheap place? I’d expect them to say yes, doesn’t mean the cheap fuel was an issue. There’s also plenty of running vehicles that exclusively use cheap fuel and have no issues
@Euphemistic: VW/Audi technician. Engine knock or loud injectors, first thing asked is where they filled up and how long ago then take fuel drains. Have drained many contaminated fuel tanks over the years and have large archive of photos
Adjust your driving habits. Have correct air pressure in tyres. Take off the roof racks. Walk to the corner shop.
Best way is to shop around via Petrol Spy app
The 7 eleven Fuel app allows price lock for up to 7 days - unbeatable
Lock in anywhere, use price lock anywhere.NRMA app offers 3c off unleaded and 5c off premium at Caltex/Ampol
Woollies and Coles still offering 4c off
- Toyota App. 4 cpl off at Ampol.
- Using Woolies 5% off Gift Card (bought through Seniors NSW app) at Woolies petrol. And Woolies normal 4 cpl if you have their voucher ( from $30 spend at Woolies).
Do Toyota 4c and WOW 4c stack?
I think that the WOW4c is only applicable at Woolies branded or co-branded petrol stations.
I think that Toyota App. is only for stand alone Ampol, and not Co-branded Woolies-Ampol.
Because, in my area, the App. only shows the stand alone Ampol, and not Co-branded Woolies-Ampol.
However you can still accumulate EDR points at Stand alone Ampol.
Does anyone wonder how they pay for all these discount schemes? Someone has to be paying for it, who?
Like does Wollies and Coles pay the petrol place 2c and he servo cops the rest? Or is it Coles paying 4cpl to Shell? Coles/Wollies obviously add that onto their prices somewhere. The servo must as well.
Is it all a big con? But it’s ok because I saved $1.60 last week on my petrol while paying $2 extra for groceries?
If it costs you nothing to get a 4cpl discount and you would be going pay a relevant servo anyway why wouldn’t you?
Locally I find the cheap servos are cheaper than the others with discount so haven’t bothered with a discount for ages.
I have a trust issue with small operators. There is a lot money to be made by adulterating fuel in search of bigger margins.
But do they really do any of that for no name brand fuel?
But it wouldn't cost you nothing because you need to spend minimum $30 at coles, iga and woolworths if going for any of their stations just for 4 cents off….not worth it unless you were gonna spend $30 or more anyways on a grocery run or whatever at their store.
But if you saw the picture I posted, you would see that even with the discounted price, it's still more expensive than diesel which is suppose to be the most expensive of all fuel since it's the best.

That’s the thing, we all buy groceries so might as well take advantage of the fuel discount (although I don’t)
But if you saw the picture I posted,
Yes, I saw it and didn’t make much sense of it because it’s a price sign for fuel. If you get a discount on fuel, all of those prices are a bit less, diesel included.

Diesel is not ‘the best’ nor is it supposed to be more expensive. Diesel can be more efficient for heavy vehicles, but not for small ones. it is also more polluting and requires a more heavy duty engine. Diesel fuel is however, less subject to price cycles and over the last few years has fluctuated between cheaper and more expensive than petrol.

I only buy like $2 to $10 worth of juice and maybe some canned food. That's it. Unless the canned food or juice I buy goes on sale for like 50% off or more, would I be spending near $30 or more to stock up.

I guess you didn't see the discounted price and non-discounted price of ULP on that sign post… The discounted price is with the 4 cents off voucher(which of course requires a minimum spend of $30 prior to a station visit or you got lucky in the car park bays and picked up someone else's fuel voucher they dropped on the ground that's still valid or someone gives you theirs for whatever reasons…)…unless you're talking about higher discounts in which case where do you get them?
Diesel is not ‘the best’ nor is it supposed to be more expensive.
Well I was told it was the best because it's more efficient and most expensive because of it.
Diesel can be more efficient for heavy vehicles, but not for small ones.
Why do they sell small cars with diesel than? Must be good if they're selling non SUV or 4x4 cars with diesel…right?
I only buy like $2 to $10 worth of juice and maybe some canned food.
Dude, you need to eat more or is it you eat out a lot (in which case learn to cook and save) or that the bank of mummy and daddy funds your dinners?
why do they sell small cars with diesel
Diesel is great for open country driving. You use a lot less fuel, but in cities the smog control stuff (DPF filter) doesn’t like short distance or stop/start driving it needs a consistent long distance to be effective. Small cars with diesel are a fad that has passed. petrol turbo is more common and provides much the same performance and economy of diesel with less problems.

Yeah I can't cook for shit…so I need someone else to do it for me. Or just live off bread/toast and jam and canned food. Don't need to cook either of those and making toast is just sticking bread in a toaster.
Diesel is great for open country driving.
I see. So basically it's for people who travel between metro and country side.
Good old Warwick Grove Coles Express, (profanity) up traffic in the left hand lane of Erindale Road all the time when the fuel there isn't even that cheap…
Hahahahahahaha, if you think that's bad I once went to a station where the line started at the station and ended two traffic light sections out. One whole lane jammed of all cars that looked like they wanted to get to the station with the cheapest price!
op what is the uber discount?
Uber drivers get discount at Caltex/Ampol.
Not sure how much.
Get to tha choppa
