    • yeh was gonna say thats an insane price for the cl14 if it was true

I think there was only a few in stock when OP posted and it ran out quick as expected. Trident Z CL14 @ 3600Mhz at this price was a steal, these overclock very well too.

        • well damn, im not in the market for ram, but well done for the people that got their hands on this :)

I'm not an expert on ram but is CAS Latency 14 Timing 14-15-15-35 Voltage 1.45V great?

For a AMD 3950X setup and might go for 2x sets of 2x for 32gb configuration ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

    • Have your shop never had a customer complain about stability running 4 sticks of dual rank? Or you just never know why the PC is not stable?

  • It was 199 5 minutes ago

A situation we're a time machine would be useful and my above question was obviously answered lolz ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

1.45v? That was a great price for what was offered, and a 'guaranteed' bin of chips.

But id wager a very large chunk of cl16 1.35v ram will manage cl14 at 1.45v.

Also, watch out for ram voltage inaccuracies on auros b550 boards; hopefully its just a bug in a few current uefi's, but Ive had more than a couple now, provide +0.03v more than what you set, when you check with a multimeter.
Seen no such behavior in AsRock or Asus yet, touch wood.

What sort of performance gains do you get from this kind of ram? Even on sale still seems like a bit of a waste.

    • The usual 5ish percent jump assuming cl16 at the same speed. You wouldnt typically bother unless you're running below 3200 cl16.

More useful if you're currently building.

    • -1

      Total waste.
You can get a 32GB kit of CL16 for not much more on a bargain.
Real world differences between CL14 and CL16 are trivial.

Performance comparison for Out of Box XMP setting? not much at all

OC capability guarantee/heat tolerance? A LOT BETTER

Performance comparison AFTER all sub timing tweaked? A LOT.

if you don't think you going to OC the ram yourself, then this kit is not really for you

    • if you're going for high fps in CPU heavy games like Warzone, it can be huge (have seen 60+ fps increase at 1440p). Thereโ€™s also benefits running Dual Rank (2x16gb or 4x8gb) vs Single Rank (2x8gb) like in this deal.
