Came across this last night - decent 40W practice amp with a plethora of smart features, highly rated by many reviewers. Description from Amazon:

Good value at $359.99, multiple online retailers/eBay selling for between $449 and the $569. Hopefully inspires my kids to practice more. At the very least a nice toy for me.

Buy direct for similar price, plus bonus gig bag. Pay even less with US$10 off voucher for sign up. Or use the discount code in my old post, it is still active, just tested.

    • SAVE5 code is still working too for extra few $ off, 5% (US$13.45)

  • Goes to 11? 👀

Need a special Marshall for that. ;-)

  • I'd buy from Amazon for no questions asked easy returns. These amps aren't known for their reliability.

    • Just the updates

I have been using it for last 5 months, still working ok.

  • How do these compare to say Fender Mustang GTX50?

I bought one last year on Black Friday sale (from Amazon). Was selling for $329, but Zip had a 20% discount promo. Nice little amp with an amazingly loud sound. Good if you could add a footswitch to it, but I guess we'll have to wait for version 2 for that feature. All in all, it's a nice little desktop amp. Most of the magic (and price) is in the software. I paid less for a Boss Katana 50, which, as an amp, leaves this one behind. Depends what your looking for , I guess. But you won't be disappointed with the sound and flexibility of the Spark.

    • You can purchase BT foot switches or join a mod Facebook group and diy

      • Ah, I never thought about the BT option. Good to know. Thanks. If I ever stumble upon a cheap one, I'd look into it. Some of them get a bit pricey.

You can mod it yourself for a wired one… sum of all parts (if you have a little bit of wood laying about) is less than $50. Otherwise some ply at Bunnings would suffice.

    • You preferred the katana 50?
I bought one not long ago and ended up returning.

I like the flexibility of the Katana. I've got it hooked up via an old Pixel 2 XL and use a couple of apps(Katana Librarian and Katana Man Pro) to do the effects tweaking. For serious stuff, I've got an old (80s era) Peavey 110, but that's starting to show its age. These new amps are more fun to play with.

    Any more guitar amp deals?

  • Does anyone have a recommendation for a budget beginner bass amp which mainly will be used for practice and church gig in a small 6m x 10m room?

    • +1

I can tell you I settled on a secondhand Roland cube 30 bass amp, after buying and then on selling a Vox pathfinder 10 bass amp because it just didn’t sound too well at all.

Will look into the DIY footswitch. For budget bass amp, try Artist Guitars. Excellent quality and great value for all budgets.

Only problem was the power brick caused noise. Replaced with earthed power brick and now all good

    • Cheers for this suggestion!

    • Is this the exact one you got?

      • +1

        Yes. Got it from Amazon.

      • I must have bought old stock from Amazon. Haven't had mine long and it's only got 2 pins

  • Wait for Black Friday in late November. Will definitely be a deal on their on website.

  • Additional price drop on this to $333.99, may see further drop for Black Friday deals.

It looks like Black Friday sale has started…
But… Did they push RRP for this sale?

Regular 30% off supposed to bring amp down to $225 USD… But it is $245 USD now.

Is this it? Best price for this year? :)

    • $300 right now on Amazon AU.

Or $224 with free bag from positivegrid.com
