    Description says "Swiss Automatic" - would be interested in knowing who makes this swiss movement!

    I note the photo of the face clearly says "Japan"
    Do these guys use Seiko movements?

    Please enlighten me.

        Mine has a Seiko 5 (SNK80x) as his daily driver. Loves it and wear it heaps. Must be the only kid at his school with an automatic on his wrist.

      This model is the 8926 & is a Japan Automatic NH35A. The Invicta 8926OB $100.86 doesn't have a scalloped edge bezel -

      You can see in the photo on Amazon the movement clearly shows NH35A. Never trust Amazon specs.

        I bought 8926OB few years back for $59USD. For that price it is a very good watch as the guts of this watch are Seiko 4R35 basically which is usually more then $300 in Seiko watches. It looks almost same as Rolex and have similar dimensions too. Mostly people complain about Invicta branding on side, but it doesn't bother me. If someone dont like the brand they can spend few thousand $ more and get Rolex. My only complaint is it is bit heavier as I am used to casio digital.

    I bought my first and only Invicta several months ago - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/625746

    It was fine for a while but then started stopping while I slept. Then, it started stopping while I was awake. I persevered by manually moving it and moving it vigorously while on my wrist but it stopped entirely and refused to start (self wind).

    I contacted Amazon and was offered, and took, a refund over the phone and then with Amazon's amazing customer service mailed it back. That was the last I heard of it and the last Invicta I will ever buy.

    FWIW, these are made in China and reportedly have questionable production QA. I can't find info on where the ostensibly Seiko movements are made, whether they are QA by Seiko etc.

    I'm no horologist but I do own a Rolex, a Rado, five Seiko autos, a Citizen auto and other autos and quartz's and never had a problem even remotely like the one I had with the Invicta.

        I did that too. The winding felt unlike any of my other genuine Seiko's in that there appeared to be little or no resistance. It was a crap watch - the question is, are they all of inferior quality or was this just a lemon which passed through inferior Chinese QA?

          Might be a faulty one. Mine is 3 years old and still going strong. I just use it once a week and just manual winding before I use.

            @CoachDriver: Yep, I'm more than happy to give the benefit of the doubt - the Chinese are not renowned for good QA methodologies. I wouldn't mind knowing how, where the Seiko movements are sourced and whether the movements are JDM (doubtful) or made in China under licence (lol). Purely academic in my case because once bitten, twice shy.

          Sounds like it was a lemon because these Pro Divers have a big following on Watchuseek for modding so you'd have to ask yourself why would members on that website spend so much time modifying them if they were junk.

            @WatchNerd: Agreed. But I won't buy another and my comments might have value to anyone here making the decision to buy or not. My experience shouldn't be entirely discounted for that reason. Other than that, it was a handsome watch and would have been excellent value for the dollars. Do you have any info on the sourcing and manufacture of the Seiko movement? I love Seiko for the quality and reliability and wonder how their movements have made their way into Chinese watches.

            I also collect quality torches - Nightcore, Fenix, Olight etc - and these are made in China with US LED's. The Chinese engineering in these cases is world class. So, I'm not necessarily denigrating Chinese engineering or QA in general, but I doubt one can apply the excellent engineering in Chinese torch manufacturing to Chinese watch manufacturing.

    As a watch newb, I see the 8926OB has quite a following. However, lots of haters too.

    I can't help but feel an Invicta watch would be like sex with a prostitute. Intrigued about the experience, but worried I'd feel dirty afterwards. Any John's recommend it? 😆

      I took the plunge with the make but another model (see above) because it was dirt cheap and it's Amazon, so no risk. If you like the look, go for it. I liked the look and it was sub-ton dollars so, give it a go :) As they say, it ain't sheep farms…

      I own an omega seamaster but also 2 Invicta dive watches in my collection, the invicta dive watches with the N35 are great, don't be put of by the price , and the prostitute thing ….. think "Pretty Woman" Richard Gere didn't seem to feel dirty, it changed his life for the better, maybe this watch will do the same for you.

        Yep, another vote for the Pagani Sub homage. I’ve had 3 Invicta 8926OBs and they all felt very different to wind, screw the crown and turn the bezel.

        Looks a bit like my mate's Gevril (Wall Street Limited Edition).
        I reckon eveyone has just copied the Rolex Sub but it's quite a classic design, especially with the jubilee braeclet.
