No need for prime, free postage on orders over $39 from Amazon AU. It's only when purchasing from Amazon that ships from US where this doesn't apply.

should be free with or without prime as it's >$39

  • QLC an issue?

    • Not sure - cannot see if it has cache or not. Has fairly high write cycle life - according to a review on new egg

2TB version has TBW of 531 and 1TB version has 274 so a little over a 1/3rd of the writeable lifespan of a TLC NVME drive like the Kingston A2000 (1TB is 600TBW)

Seagate specification sheet doesn't mention onboard ram for caching so it's probably dramless.

      • Wow, that's pathetic endurance for the 2TB. For comparison the 500GB Ironwolf 510 has 650TBW, and the 2TB - 2600TBW.

Definitely a more, write once, read many kinda application at 0.2 DWPD for the 2TB model.

        • I won't debate a higher endurance rating being a good indication of a more durable drive.

However, most users are not going to be writing even 100TB over the lifetime of their drive.

Most users. OzB users are a different breed!

            • @netjock: You might be expecting too much of OzBargainers.
The average OzBargainer probably won't write 10TB.

That is reality, we're not talking about reality.

              • @O15: You sure you're not forgetting the myriad of HDD posts with oos NAS drives.

  • Just concerned it may be a Prime member only deal

  • 11 Still available by selecting KS Computer

Now all gone - marking expired

  • Is it ok to use for Acer Nitro 5 I just bought ?

    • It should be, most modern laptops are designed to use these drives BUT read the manual, you might need to have a heat sink installed and also you might be limited to size of the physical drive.

  • back to original price :(

1TB $124.50 M.2 NVMe SSD Is this a good deal?

Or this 1TB $123.95 I cant tell the differences between them, apart from the brand.

I am new to this M.2 SSD world.

    • +3

I'd go for the Crucial P1 since it has a DRAM cache.

  • Will work on ps5?

    • +3

ps5 only supports pcie gen4. so no
