@[Deactivated]: Yeah it's such a shame that most of the clearance (my favourite category for any shop) items are not available for delivery.
I too, have started buying everything in bulk to make keeping the household together easier, including buying shampoo and conditioner in 5 litre bottles!
I've even stopped using the car so in addition to my life being less endangered there's no rego and no fuel - or other consumable - consumption, which makes bulk shopping at SCA a bit of a stretch unfortunately.
First thing I purchased from them was a millet broom that had the best price/quality combo out of anyone. 7-tie, 20 bucks.
@eloque: If you have a mower check if they have parts for it. I ended up getting this: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/tuff-cut-tuff-cut-mower-… - cheaper than Bunnings and comes with the pre-filter too. (Bunnings used to be cheaper, then they didn't have it for several months, and when it came back it was a different brand and the price ridiculous.)
Don't ever buy SCA mower blades though. The brand they sell is rubbish. I have a strip of footpath about 2 meters wide and 20 meters long with rocks. I'd skip most of it and hit it with the trimmer. But even so, the bent corner of SCA's junk blades would be completely GONE after mowing just twice. They were so bad that I knew on the second mow I should do the rest of the lawn that was just grass first, and then do the rocky area - because I knew the blades would be gone and wouldn't be able to cut grass.
I noticed SCA has a card shuffler for $10 that some people might be interested in: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p-automatic-card-shuffler/…
@[Deactivated]: The card shuffler looked cool but I don't play cards. Was still tempted tho'. After the Briggs mower was taken away we were given an electric one but that doesn't get used much either. I reckon I'll be using SCA for tools mainly. I've been buying the cheap stuff so far and learning my lessons by rounding off both the screwdriver drill bits AND the heads of screws. Will eventually build up a nice collection of tools. They also have some cool trolley-type things that could come in handy.
Didn't get it
They bundled my 2 orders together.
Got an email about a survey, no sign of it yet though “Look out for an email from our research partner, Blue Helix, inviting you to share your thoughts via the Supercheap Auto Club Members Insight Survey.
$10 credit for completing the survey”
Did not receive it in WA.
But have had previous targets so missed this one, thankfully not too fussed.
I have to keep in the mindset of buying in bulk. I bought several 5L bottles of magnatec oil several years ago… I'm still using it lol.
I figure banks aren't giving any interest on our money anyway, so may as well buy things ahead of time that will be used. The only difference being it's sitting on my garage shelf instead of theirs. So things like oil for the car, oil for the mower & trimmer, car air and oil filters, car wash, wheel cleaner, polish, wiper blades, windscreen cleaning fluid, air freshener… but then I think, will it be cheaper on sale at some point.
That said, I just tried to order a few things to use my $10, none of it is available at my local store, and it's pickup only because I won't inject drain cleaner into myself that doesn't protect anyone from anything anyway. And they have no catalogue going. So now I have to try and find something else too, lol.
