Is it worth paying the extra to monitor energy usage? Thinking to use it on like a dyson vacuum charger.
Why would you turn off and on a vacuum charger remotely? Once it's charged the vaccum will stop charging itself?
@Bafranz: Yeah i guess for curiosity for monitoring energy usage of a charger and how much it continues to consume after charge is full.
@Gmetal: Just set it to charge only during day time so can use my solar feed in. It should stop charging once full, but wouldn't it still consume a little power in the charging station?

i have a bunch of LED bars hooked up to storage room that plugs in via a smart switch (like this). I have a smart motion sensor above the door that, when it detects motion, send a "light on" command and the storage room lights up. i have it auto turn off after 2min. very handy when hands are full and i walk in to drop something off.

It automatically switches off during peak hours (3pm to 9pm) each day to make sure i only ever charge during off-peak. I also have a second one connected to a night light and it switches on at sunset and off at sunrise.

Reported issues with higher wattage appliance so buyer beware per your use case. Mine is attached to a prosumer coffee machine so I went with the kp115 for marginally more and haven't had any issues.

I use it for fault finding appliances and electronics etc. For fun i see how low I can configure power consumption beyond manufacturer specs for PCs, then run stability tests.
Soooooo, does the scheduler require network access to function? I'm thinking about using it to turn off lights and other things in the office after hours, which will include the router, among other things. If it's able to turn itself on, there must be some sort of battery and clock inside?
