New deal available at KFC exclusively on the KFC App.

Note - These are smaller than a regular chicken piece, although still pretty decently sized. Seems to be the same coating used for Hot & Spicy/Zinger Fillets.

Deal is available every day until the end of the promotion which is most likely November 1st.

Update 07/10: There is currently a supply issue (They have run out of chicken) affecting stores in VIC and NSW. The deal has been temporarily removed for the affected areas/stores.

      Way opposite experience here. Pieces were juicy, fresh and actually pretty decently sized. I was surprised at how full the box was. I was expecting something the size of tenders going by the KJ count

    Had it today the chicken size was smaller than I thought it would be just a bigger than a wicked wing

    The spice level was disappointing why even call it hot and spicy when the spice level is 20% of that of a wicked wing

    Also at times there is no spiciness in wicked wings
    I give this a score of 2.5/10 definitely not a repeat buy

    My local KFC is normally always awesome, but got this deal today and it was terrible.

    Meat was brown/dark pink and a weird texture…took it back and they game me a fresh lot which was the same thing. This just seems like shit chicken.

    Just stick with the "Cheap as Chips" an enjoy some real chicken and have left overs. Sounds like some people enjoyed it though so YMMV.

    I got them for dinner then tried the KFC rice cooker recipe with some soy sauce. (Google for recipe). I put 4x into the rice cooker with 3 cups of rice. Ate one piece while cooking. Garnished with steamed, then sauteed broccoli. Makes for a few meals and quite tasty. Ate the rice with some of the chicken pieces.

    i got mine freshly made yesterday, the servings were on the small size to be called pieces of chicken, i'd just imagine that i'm having boneless wicked wings.

    the chicken pieces were juicy and fresh, they are like your karaage chicken which you get in a Japanese restaurant but with the wicked wing crunchy coating

    I got it and I'm really happy. Thigh meat, very very juicy and nicely covered in spice. Perfect amount of crunchy coating. Size was ok, an average of maybe 3 full bites per piece? My local KFC is awesome and gave me some extra so the box was well stuffed.

    Some people complaining about gristle/tendon/fat. There was a little fat in mine and I encountered some tendon in 2/15 pieces (I think mine were processed pretty cleanly). I think the wildly different reviews just show how prep and cooking can make such a big difference to the same product.

    I'm hoping that it goes on the regular menu, I'd get these instead of my usual wings or hot & spicy (bone).

    Received this reply from KFC when I messaged them on Facebook in regards to availability :

    I have followed this up and there was a quality issue with this product which was raised and followed up with our supplier.

    The issue has now been rectified and new product has been supplied and this item should be back online through the app under App only section of the menu panel.

    Got two bits as an add on for $2.95 using the cheap as chips hack. I like it, definitely prefer the thigh meat over the breast meat.

    They are the tenders for the discerning KFC aristocrat. 10 of em would probably make me sick tho.

    Not sure if anyone's posted this but I discovered a bit of a hack. If you add something to your cart on the app (literally anything), it then gives you the option to add on extras, one being 2 hot and crispy for $2.95. You can then add as many of the 2 for $2.95 as you want. It ends up costing a little more but at least you can still get it.

        Thanks! Thought I'd share just in case. Also wanted to make an amendment to my original post that the add on option won't come up sometimes. I think you may have to add a burger or something a little more substantial for it to pop up. But once it does and you add the hot and crispy you can always remove the first thing (e.g. burger) and you will be left with just the hot and crispy add on in your cart.

      Northmead NSW had it too called 'manager special', but other day I noticed they removed the sign, but manager advised they still have it but you have to buy 2 sides to get it.
