Great value rechargeable torch. After the Olight deal I was looking for something a bit more powerful at a good price point. Excellent reviews on this Wuben c3

Thanks. Bought one. Time for an upgrade
Have an old c8 and c1.
Why do I suddenly want some crazy bright torch? Why are these so popular lately?
They've been a
money-pithobby for me for at least the last 9 years. I've had one of these in my cart for a while; SST20/4000k/95CRI…not sure I need 10,000lm but I'm also not sure I don't need it. I've also been trying to justify a SST20/4000k/95CRI D4V2 with a few accessories, but it's very similar to a couple of other lights I have so I might need to get rid of some.Where are you getting 10,000 lumens? That sort of brightness would incinerate your hands and last minutes on a single cell. Best spec I can find is 3800 lumens, and that's still staggering and I'd suggest not useful for normal usage.
From the first link to the D18 (and verified by owners)
OTF lumen output and candela at start-up
SST-20 6500K/5000K: 14000lm / 65,000cd
SST-20 4000K/3000K 95CRI: 10000lm / 45,000cdAbsolutely pointless and wouldn't last 30 seconds before stepping down massively. Powered by 3x cells though so it'll last a few minutes
The second link is to the D4V2 which is also effectively pointless on turbo.
Need few of these to explore some dark caves after the lockdown is lifted. ;)
Your wife?
How does that compare to the Wuben L60 model for $39.60?
WUBEN L60 1200 Lumens Tactical Flashlight Zoomable USB Rechargeable (18650 Battery Included) IP68 Waterproof 5 Lighting Modes CREE LED Light Torch for Outdoors Camping Hiking https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07RMTB5DJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g…
i assume this one will run much warmer than L60 due to the size?
very good price for the quality of this one.
but i already got 3 similar 18650 ones, will hold…I got 2, only charge to 3.75V
Recommend separate charger, otherwise love the build quality ended up giving them awayTorches that use 18650 batteries are definitely the way to go. I've bought a bunch of no-name brand ones for around $10 each and they work fabulously well - I've had them for a couple of years now and they only need recharging a couple of times a year if you don't use them a lot. They are great for when the power goes out, which should be often in a future with renewable energy….
Absolutely, the 18650 battery can generate those higher lumens and only need to be charged every now and then.
LOL the irony is that Tesla Powerwall V1 (maybe V2 as well) are made of of a few thousand 18650s.
Also, I don't think you should be too worried about the reliability of baseload power with renewables
It now says $31
Use 10% coupon to get price shown
Same, and coupon doesn't seems work
where is/was the code?
10% coupon doesn't work for me.
Promo Code is for the holster, if you buy the holster with the torch. Maybe there was a 10% coupon on the torch itself earlier.
It was just a check box next to the item, 10% off at checkout , expired now
Bought this a few days ago after seeing the olight deals lol. Received it today, cool little torch. Build quality is great. Not sure I’d get much use out of it so I don’t know why I have the urge to buy a more powerful one..
lol @ the guy who got negged for suggesting this in the olight thread. i prefer this one over the olight lights.
Got mine today. Awesome torch, good build, smaller than I expected.
Is this more of a thrower or flood?
