If the $10 off promo from Catch is a code, it is likely to invalidate any Cashback you could earn.
      Cheers!

    Not showing up for me

  • +5

Is it targeted? not appearing in my app since this morning. If cap reached should be marked as expired? Waste of time

    • I can confirm it wasn't targeted as I set it up.
It must have capped out pretty early this morning.

Sorry I slept in as I was up late answering comments & DMs. I'll mark as OOS now.

  • Did anyone who managed to get this deal already signed up for the $15/$110 bonus?

Might be better off going with cashrewards and the $40 cap. There are only 387 spots unclaimed for the $15/110 bonus and 6926 participants its a race to get orders in and could have reached reached 1000 cap before you finish processing your order and not get bonus.

    • Yeah, got both. Trying for 20% ($22.4) + $15 + $5 at 6pm. Watching the counter on the $110 one, but it's still better at 6pm and the $5 is locked in, so I'll wait it out.

      • Is your $5 off showing in your app at the moment? I thought I registered but can’t see it now…..

        • Yep, it's showing up.

      • Just to confirm you signed up for the $15/110 before this deal was posted or became available?

        • +1

Yeah, had already signed up for $110 before this was posted.

          • @Miss B: what time did you get the $5 challnge? u must be early

            • +1

@cloudy: I think a little before 8. It was not long after I got it that people started saying they couldn't get it anymore.

    • For those of us without the bonus/es, I think it's better to just use a Uni Days code & d/c gift cards and skip Cashback altogether?

      • 10 percentage discount code currently not showing in unidays

        • Edit…

Actually, I meant Student Beans! And the 10% is still active there, lucky I checked

          • @nismo: Is there a cap for that 10%?

            • @hawkeye93: To be clear, it's a 10% off discount code

Not aware of caps on discounts generally, other than sometimes ebay…

              T&C

Unlock 10% student discount at catch.com.au with Student Beans.

Use your catch.com.au student discount code at checkout to enjoy 10% off your order.

Valid registered students via Student Beans. Excludes postage. Excludes all Marketplace products, plus the following brands, Apple, Dyson, Google, Nintendo, Asus, Beats, Blaupunkt, Bose, DJI, FujiFilm, GARMIN, JBL, LG, Logitech, Oppo, Playstation, Samsung, Sony, TEAC, Thrustmaster and Xbox.

    • Yeah that $15/110 will run out before 6pm, making SB's offer pretty lame with the $25 cap too.

  • +1

Can I still use the APPYDAYS promo code?

    • +1

      @mrhorse
Any promo codes will invalidate Cashback, so I would advise against using it if you wish to take advantage of the 20% Flash Sale.

  • +8

8 reports and still the mods haven't done anything & the rep is yet to confirm the balls-up that obviously this promo was 🤦‍♂️

    • They need to update the title with “capped reached”. The deal is still not expired/sold out though. Hence they didn’t act.

    • +3

Give them a break, it's Sunday morning.

      • -1

11 reports and it's lunchtime and at the same as this comment, they've updated it…

        They are usually very quick.

The neg is for the bungled promo. Mods have always been good and responsive in my 9+ years here, just not this time.

    • +5

      @nismo, I'm sorry I slept in mate.
I was up until 3:30 responding to messages here on OzB.

I've updated the deal to OOS so there's no more confusion.

  • +1

I wish OP had included the words opt in required in the title

although the challenge begins at 6pm tonight, not having joined a challenge before I was not aware that I had to opt in (until I read the spiel)

On another note- if anyone has purchased with catch before could you please let me know
I am looking at buying a board game as a gift- through the market place

If something were to go wrong eg box damaged/ delayed deliver etc would it be as easy as Amazon to get a refund/ replacement

    • -1

AFAIK Catch doesn’t offer free returns. The minimum return postage is 9.95/- So, order using PayPal to get the reverse shipping refunded just in case.

      • thanks for that!

also would you know if catch would fob me off and ask me to deal with the third party seller?
        thanks

        • Sorry, I haven’t got into such situation yet.
A catch.com.au fan has down voted my comment, I wonder what did I say wrong.. 🤔

          • @TheMills: was not me for sure
in fact your reply was quite useful for me

  • +2

1250 cap with over 1 million users. No wonder it was gone in a whisker.

  • +3

I've given this feedback before. Shopback should really show that all rewards have been claimed rather than dropping it out once the cap is maxed out. That way people can know that they were too slow rather than any other reason.

  • +1

I've opted in, but because my afterpay deal has been taken (was a $10 off $25 spend, now disappeared), can you opt me back out so someone else can have it?

    • My understanding is it allows more people to opt in than available cashbacks. So even if you opt in doesn't guarantee you get it unless you're one of the first xxx.

  • Does this include catch marketplace purchases?

  • Hi rep, still haven't got any email from shopback after placing an order at 18:07.

Is there some issue even for the normal cashback tracking?

    Thanks in advance.

    • It's not instant, take up to 48 hrs. Be patient

      • Cheers mate. Will wait patiently lol

  • does it start 6pm sydney time or in state you live?

    • 6pm AEDT - already started :)

  • Bought at 6:16pm via SB App. No tracking so far.

Only thing I can see is the click has been recoreded. Fingers crossed….

    • Is your cashback tracked? I ordered around 6.30 and got a confirmation email from SB around 7.10pm

      • Yup, tracking email came through around 7pm.
But both Catch challenges in SB app are the same and haven't been updated. What about yours?

  • +1

Just posting here because rep has posted this deal. Just wondering how the spend $110 get $15 cashback works given it seems it takes quite some time for cashback to track.

When I made my purchase it was only showing 613 claimed for the $15 cashback on $110 purchase. It's actually likely there were more than 1000 and it just hasn't tracked yet. It's not reasonable to have this kind of offer without efficient tracking or at least making it clear that the tracker is lagging behind significantly.

    • It's going to lead to disappointment for some. Probably more than 400 people trying to claim the bonus at 6pm and I would assume it gets tracked in order of purchase to the first ones to finish their purchase would get the bonus.

    • Now it's tracked as $20.43. It was $112.43, 3 items total around $14 and one around $98.

      • +1

That's right. The cashback is calculated without GST and without bonuses.
So its 20% of $102.21 = $20.44. Bonus shows up separately if you got it.

        • Ahh, yep. Thanks. So just waiting for the 2 cashback challenges to complete. I was thinking it would show the purchase amount for some reason, I'll blame Sunday evening.

    • Mine have worked fine now. But if it's going to take > 12 hours to update, I don't think it's a good idea to do it as people are going to miss out even though it shows it's still not claimed.

  • It says cashback ineligible for club catch 30-day free trial new members. I’m on a free trial, that means it will be ineligible? How does this work?

  • @gotyourback - I could opt for $5 additional cash back. I placed an order for $98. The usual cash back got tracked but $5 challenge says $18.18 to go! What’s missing?

    • +2

That's $20 exclude gst. The bonus status takes up to 48 hrs to update. So don't worry mate

    • Also

The Bonus Cashback will be added to your account once your regular Cashback turns 'Confirmed'.

  • thanks OP, picked up a 288 refill of our quantum dishwasher tablets and 4 pack AA eneloops for free delivery to nearby kmart for total $80
also had a $10 off $25 spend from afterpay, so worked out a cool $80 - $5 (bonus) - $16 (20% cb) - $10 (afterpay pulse). now just need to wait for the cb update to get registered. SB coming out with big guns after a long time

    • let us know if you get the cash back using the afterpay discounts you may find they wont pay up? i have a $30 afterpay referral discount that i want to use but im not sure if it would disqualify me for the cashback?

      • Cash back $14.60 confirmation msg received on SB. Afterpay discount is built into the payment plan so I guess SB don't care/know about it. Anyway I don't actually start paying the instalment till 2 weeks later as well.

  • Looks like only 487 completed this challenge, what a waste.

    • Hey, it will take some time to update fully.
I'd estimate Tuesday/Wednesday for it to be updated.

      • @gotyourback It used to update instantly as soon as the cashback is tracked, what happened to that?

      • Mine has been updated, that's why i see " you and 486 others completed this challenge……….". Just say some here could not opt in, and those opted in did not actually use it. That's the waste.
