@Madscientist4727: Thank you for that, that is strange. I have to look into why you are getting that as I am not. I will pass this on to the IT guys to see what the issue is but we should be able to beat that price or honour the price I have priced for you

                  • @Blinds City: Get them to also check step 3 customisation - panel configuration, it says "Note: There is a $35 shipping fee per panel" but shipping is free.

                    • @Madscientist4727: Correct, Shipping is Free. they should be able to fix that coding error on Monday.
Thanks for checking on that :)

    • I agree with your pricing breakdown.

Also, if you don't mind some additional DIY have you looked at iSeekBlinds?
that size is about $563 (you have to put the panel together though)

currently looking at plantation shutters for our place and there is indeed an overwhelming number of choices and stores

hard to find reviews on some (like www.diyplantationshutters.com.au, spotonshutters.com.au, diyplantationshutters.online) despite having some good prices

That DIYBlinds promo code doesnt look to be valid though?? ("Promotional code is not valid")

      • Great thanks will check them out. I tried the FREESHIP promo code again:

        From cart @ Diyblinds:

        Subtotal$664.00Discount-$30.00Shippingcalculated at checkoutApplied: FreeshipRemove

        Total$664.00

(Shipping is usually $30 - freeship gives a $30 discount)

        • Ah I see - it seems to be cap sensitive…
          Try: Freeship

          • @Madscientist4727: Wonder how many times you can use that promo code
As it would mean ordering each shutter individually could save on the shipping fee ..

I consider myself to be an extremely patient person who never leaves bad reviews. Unfortunately Blind City have left me no choice but to do so. It's almost approaching one year since we first got quoted on the blinds and the job is yet to be completed. Initially there was a delay due to backlog at the docks, this is completely understandable but for the months this happened we received no communication constantly having to follow up ourselves. After multiple follow ups we finally got an installation date. The job was partially completed due to missing gap sealant and stickers. Also one of the shutters was left with a hole due to a screw going in the wrong position which we are still waiting on a replacement for. We are very reasonable and understand delays due to covid but we have renovated the whole house throughout the year and none of the other businesses seem to have the same communication challenges that Blind City have. We have left a message multiple times over the last few month with no response to any of them, all I want is an update on something I have already paid for. Amazing that the responses were very quick pre-sale. Honestly, save yourself the hassle and go with someone that actually wants your business.

    • Please private message us on this account with your details so we can look into this If you have ordered overseas shutters which Xmas cut off is now closed. Overseas was a big challenge for everyone in any industry with Covid etc as you mentioned.
We do pride ourselves and we try our best but there has been challenges, we are not goign to lie about that.
In saying that, please PM us so we can look into this above as we do not know who you are on this account

It's no even the delays that is the problem, it's the lack of communication. We have tried so many times to allow you to fix the issue but we just keep getting is a text from Pierre saying he will call back and never does. It's also concerning that you don't know who we are, how many people are waiting on repairs of a hole in a shutters?

        • Sorry to hear, It has been challenging with everything including staff and home schooling etc.
However I don't know who you are because I don't deal that side of things. I have private messaged you to get your details So I can sort this out with the team on Monday. Im hoping I can get this sorted for you. He has also hired 3 new staff to try deal with all customers demands. I hope I can help so if you could get back to me in the private message. Thank you
          Jess

          • @Blinds City: I understand the challenges with covid which is why I left it for almost a whole year before leaving a review. Most people wouldn't even wait 1 month.

            • @F-22: I understand that and can appreciate that as well.
We are all in together to help and I am hoping I can help and do something for you in regards to what you have mentioned.
Like I mentioned earlier, I have private messaged you to get more details, so If I can help please send me your details in private so on Monday I would like to investigate with the team.

I'd have to agree with the after sales service. We were given a quote prior to purchase but that quickly changed (by a lot) once we'd already paid for goods. Pierre was fantastic and quick to respond but when that money changed hands he was apparently a pretty busy guy whenever we tried to contact him. The installers that ended up coming weeks later and proceeded to tell me how crap the product was while installing it so it really gave me no confidence in the product. They also didn't bother explaining how to use the product or check that they were aligned. It took a lot of messaging and convincing for them to come back and fix up their error.

      • Sorry to hear, But that is very strange why any of the installers would say the product is crap. No product is crap.
I will private message you to find out some details. Thank you

      • My experience with another “Pierre” was one of the worst dealings I’ve had with a human being in my life. I’ve been very wary of anyone else by that name and this just adds to my presumption. Absolute PoS.

    • Hi Mate!
Can we get ongoing updates about this
I have closer problems and I am already invested in this scenario 😂

      Patiently awaiting the outcome :)
      You’re friendly neighbourhood spectator

      • They are calling me on Monday apparently. I have heard that before though so we will see.
