Isn't this the same deal on the website…. where is the bargain for ozbargain

      • +4

But how is it the "ozbargain offer base package" when it's the exact same price as the website?

"The total cost for Solar PV System without Solar Vic Rebate & Loan is $4,799 (including STC Rebate, GST included)." - as per the website

we hope to engage the community on Ozbargain.

Ozbargain doesn't care for feel good buzz words. They want a bargain. Let the $$$'s do the talking.

        • +1

On the upside, OzBargain cares not for quality, just discounts, so there's that.

    • +1

Doesn't even seem to be a deal, I got quoted less than this for the same Kwh for panels I've actually heard of.

  • What is the normal price?

    • This seems to really be their normal price as far as I can tell, and it's not even that competitive

  • Can I ask you about how much it will cost in NSW for a 20x390 Trina Panels + 6KW GoodWe inverter (before applying the STC)? single phase, single story, tiles roof.
    Thanks.

  • Why people are not using the micro inverters with solar panels and use direct AC 230V line in the system.

    • +5

Because they're a LOT more expensive than bottom of the line cells and string inverters.

  • +4

Misleading title, as a loan is NOT a rebate

  • +3

How is a loan a rebate.
Edit: didn't see the post above.

  • +4

    Not a bargain

  • If you do a super quick Google search, you will find comparable deals for much cheaper

  • +1

My 5kW system installed last July had me pay up the same upfront but my system uses a Fronius inverter and QCell panels which are higher tier brands than what's being offered here. Not a bargain

    • Who did you go with for your install?

  • Omg, this is the worst deal ever. Low quality panels and low quality inverter for over $4.5k. What a rip off mate.

  • +1

This is not a good deal with a low quality inverter.

  • +1

Ah yes, the virtual solar door to door sales - no deal…

  • +1

There is a loan component, which is not a rebate.

  • +1

This is the exactly the same as your September deal. You artificially forced the "coupon code" to change, so as to make your store appear again on page 1 of deals.

This is the type of shit that ruins the solar eco system. Same assholes who pull the blame on regulators for having hurdles, when they're scumbags that use crappy practices to take advantage of government subsidies. Thanks for screwing it all up and giving doubt to consumers jackass.
