    I didn't get either :(

  • Didn’t get in my Amex essential card

  • Not available on my high experience level card.

  • Nothing on DJs Amex, standard Elevate and Velocity Escape. What card did you get it on OP?

    • +1

Got it on my AmEx Qantas Premium Card

      • Amex offered me an upgrade from my Premium to an Ultimate last month and I took it. Damn

  • Not on any of my AmEx Ultimates but was on the primary AmEx Qantas Premium card. Thanks OP

  • Not for me

  • I got jbhifi

I got a “Spend $10 three times and receive a $20 credit” just now while checking for this one… This was on my Qantas Discovery Card.

  • It says you need to spend at JB and good guys. Is my interpretation wrong here? Not or.

    • I suspect it's a typo and they mean or

      • Yeah thought so. In hindsight, the Woolies $25 spend or more and get back $5 is also a typo. I only spent like less than $10 can I got it ;)

  • Anyone know if TGG commercial purchase will be included?

    • That's a good question, I suspect so, as they usually get processed by a TGG store.

    • My guess is that it is excluded, as TGG Commercial is on a separate website (https://www.thegoodguyscommercial.com.au/), and the only eligible websites listed in the offer terms and conditions are www.jbhifi.com.au and www.thegoodguys.com.au.

Doesn't matter about the website, just matters who processes the transaction. If it all shows up the same on your card whether from TGG or TGGC it will work.

      I think it will work.

I have home improvement brands Amex Offer Get 20 Bonus Points for every $1 spent, up to 5,000 Bonus Points. TGG is one of the brands.

I bought an item at TGG commercial today and received an Amex email saying the offer just used.

The Amex transaction shows as The Good Guys Online.

Remember to not pay via PayPal credit will not be honoured!

  • I have a basic comm bank credit card. Is it worth to get Amex card or which type. I am afraid of paying too much Admin fees, interest rate is not cencern because I make payments on time.

It sounds like an Amex card with no annual fee may be more suitable for you. There are four cards with no ongoing annual fee:

      • Qantas Discovery
      • Amex Low Rate
      • Velocity Escape
      • Amex Essential

There’s a fifth card (Amex Platinum Edge) mentioned on the Amex website under the “no annual fee” category, but that has no annual fee for the first year only.

      Keep in mind the following:

      • You will not be eligible for all the statement credits/offers you see on this website, as they are mostly targeted to specific cardholders, and there usually isn’t a manual sign-up link. For example, even though I currently have 11 different statement credits/offers for my card, this JB/TGG offer is not one of them!

      • If you are the sort of person who wants to churn credit cards to milk the sign-up bonuses, Amex will exclude you from sign-up bonuses if you had a primary credit card within the previous 18 months.

      • You need to consider what you want to get out of an Amex credit card. For example, if you are seeking rewards points for each dollar you spend, the Qantas Discovery, Velocity Escape and Amex Essential cards make sense, but they earn points at a low rate when compared with Amex credit cards with annual fees (e.g. Qantas Ultimate), and don’t have increased earn rates at supermarkets, etc. The Qantas Discovery and Velocity Escape cards don’t have complimentary travel insurance or smartphone screen insurance either, and the Amex Essential doesn’t have complimentary travel insurance.

      • Thank you very much for great explanation. Most of the deals posted in ozb are for Amex statement credits thats what made me ask. Mainly deals regarding phones and laptops.

  • I got it, nice.

  • If you use this to buy a gift card, can they actually tell?

  • I have used these types of offers from Myer and Coles Liquorland to purchase GC successfully. It seems to hinge on whether the Company sells the GC themselves or uses a 3rd party. If they sell themselves then their name will appear on the receipt and you receive the offer.

  • got it on my essential card - I'm a new user

  • So I spent 999 at JB hi-fi on Friday and got 2 cashbacks. One $40 and one $10
Looks like it stacks with the other JB offer.
