    Problem with the link?

Just to note the majority of these fares are 'Economy Lite', i.e. no longer include checked baggage or seat selection as standard.

    • But if you have status it's ok?

Are you talking about 737 Max? Because 787 Max is not exist so don't worry you'll fly with it.

While I agree with you about bain being penny pinchers casa regulations won't approve an aircraft to take to Australian airspace if it wasn't safe. Also you're confusing aircraft's. It's a 737 max 10 they're investing in not 737 max 8. The max8 are what went down and the 10s do not have the same issues. The 787 are dream liners and are completely different aircraft's. You do not need to worry about the safety of any aircraft from an Australian commercial aircraft as the regulations are very tight. Also with Boeing's loss' they're doing very rigorous testing to ensure their standards are higher than ever. They're already flying them in other countries with no issues.

    • It's truly terrifying to see the ignorance of (some of) the travelling public. Add in the media and fear mongering is all around.

First there is no such thing as a 787Max so I'm not even sure if you understood what you were even reading. Secondly, the 737 Max isn't even in service at Virgin and won't be until 2023.

The 737 Max series is the most scrutinised aircraft in aviation history. It is being reintroduced after being scrutinised by every aviation regulator out there. It would not be in Boeing's best interest to have another aircraft go down, especially for reasons involving negligence (on the manufacturers behalf).

Remember, aviation is one of the safest modes of transport in the world. Add in the fact that CASA is one of the most conservative aviation regulators in the world equals having very safe airlines in this country.

Now on the topic of Bain. They may be penny pinching, but do you really think they're penny pinching when it comes to training, standards and all around pilot skills? If they want a return, they need a very safe and compliant airline. It only takes one accident and the shareholder return that people talk about suddenly drops to zero.

Look at history. Look at how many aircraft accidents there were in the past involving new types at both Boeing and Airbus. This phenomena isn't new. These events only help to make the aircraft and the industry safer.

Lost interest in Virgin with their new ruthless CEO at the helm. Think I'll drive instead. Beats the 14 day isolation roulette game too.
