He means everything made in Australia/Japan/USA… with exactly the same quality, regardless brands. One country can only produce same quality stuff, good or bad.
you build a tv in china to compete on price, not quality.
Cheap Sonys vs Expensive Sonys are basically like buying a different brand. The components come from completely different sources.
iphone and many other Apple products are made in China.
It sells for 370 in store normally, is it really that much of a bargain?
Do smaller Sony models (in the same family) provide the same features (eg, option for direct Internet connectivity, etc.) as the really huge ones?
If not, has anyone seen Sony's family/model comparison table of features?
How well do these work as computer monitors?
Can the Sony's speakers deliver a computer's audio, eg, if fed in via 3.5" stereo plugs?

From memory, we sell this for $379. At $299 it was a very good buy, but at $30 less, probably not.
