It's just a thicker material compared to other hoodie types

I remember when these reverse weave hoodies were "premium" and were about $80-$100 but over the past couple of years, they've begun to drop in price and you could at times get them for around $30 from Bonds.
What happened to them?

I bought one mid-2020 and it was good quality although I don't feel like it's as good as my brother's reverse weave he bought for close to full price a few years back. I wonder what happened. There's gotta be some sort of change since Bonds sells these occasionally for $30 while 4-5 years ago, they were around that $80 mark after discount.
Do agree they are as good if not better than most hoodies in this price point.
I think at first companies were importing reverse weave from Champion USA now they’re sold locally via Bonds although both have the same parent company since 2016.
Best quality/value sweats atm are from Los Angeles Apparel. All the premium streetwear labels use them for their blanks.
