Was waiting for another 20%+ sale from peters of kensington ebay. Seems like I was too late for the global knife sets, but found an alternative by a previous ozB poster (dsp26) which expired. He mentions Forged steel + cold treatment manufacturing process for 56-58HRC.

  I have three of the knives in this set (chef's, serrated utility and paring). I find them very comfortable. Quite lightweight, which is a matter of preference I guess, but sharp and hold their edge well. Definitely a class above the Mundial block I also have.

    Been reading. Won't be as good as wurstof, but comes close. The pricing is much more affordable
