I mean it's one story from the hundreds of orders they receive, I'm sure there's people who've had great experiences with BPC.

My positives was all the parts boxes came with the prebuild in mint condition, it was packed and shipped properly and built very well.

It just had the wrong parts.

    • Thanks for this info- I’m in the market to buy a gaming PC, however I’m not currently in tune with the whole parts/components side of things, so ideally a decent deal from a reputable place is what I’m looking for. I’ll keep looking.

Edit: I totally get that not all orders go wrong, however the fact that they didn’t acknowledge it with even an apology is pretty poor.

  • What are the chances that six months later the market is going to be flooded used 30 series cards

  • Not an expert in current parts prices but seems pretty good. Only thing I would like is a 5900x CPU upgrade option, and maybe a 64gb ram upgrade too. But that's prob specific to ppl that need these options for work.

    • +1

You'd prob change the motherboard first

  • Ignore the price difference but is this better?

Cheaper at centrecom, and instock without need to ask BPC and never get the answer you were asking. https://www.centrecom.com.au/msi-meg-aegis-ti5-10td-i7-10700…

      • Thanks for the response man but would you say the MSI MEG Aegis Ti5 is better then this?
I'm a noob when it comes to all this so asking for some advice. Thanks

        • +1

          This deal has better GPU.
MSI MEG has better RAM, storage, OS and warranty as a whole build.
Not really sure about the processor comparison between intel and amd

          • @mfu: Thank you

          • @mfu: MSI has more RAM but it's not as fast (64GB 2933MHz vs 32GB 3200MHz)
Also the storage drives aren't specified so who knows what you're getting

For gaming the Kraken power is the better option. Much more balanced system and will outperform the MSI in most games

    • +1

This will perform better in any game over the meg.

  • Sick

  • Looks like all nice parts, but a 360mm AIO liquid cooler is complete overkill for a 5600x CPU - I have a 120mm AIO and it's never run hot while benchmarking (literally the only time my CPU gets pushed). For a 5800x it might be worthwhile though

    • Do you overclock?

      • Yes, but my usage case is almost entirely gaming so it's really not necessary. I'm never over 70c and mostly under 60c

    • +1

Agreed. I've OC'd my 5600X & I'm running just a small ID 224 single fan for cooling. Never gets over 65c

  • +1

I put this together from deals I found here on OzB except the mobo, for a chunk less than the asking price of this deal.

    XFX Merc 319 6800XT
    AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
    Asus Rog Strix X570
    Ballistix 16GB 3600Mhz RAM
    Seagate 500GB FireCuda 510
    Kingston 500GB NV1
    Coolermaster N200P with 80+ Gold SFF 650w
Noctua Redux 92mm 1600RPM case fan

    Here's my bench's for comparison:
    (Overall/GPU)
    Time Spy 17283/21300
    Fire Strike 36474/57040

Just saying, piecing together a rig using this site, I've ended up with a monster SFF rig for less than a pre-built very good machine. The parts seemed to arrive quicker than I've been reading a pre-built does, so keeping that in mind while building it clean and in the little case, it wasn't too bad.

    • How much is a chunk less??

      • 300 less. Could've been 600 less with a m-ATX B550 & a non-SFF case/PSU.

    • You have a 6800xt, a weaker gpu to the 3080

      • I thought that also, before the bench results.

    • what time frame did it take to get all the parts?

      • From 1st order to last delivery, not counting Amazon shipping the wrong nvme drive, twice… 2 weeks.
The firecuda I only just bought post-build as it was too cheap and gives me a proper nvme.

I've ordered and emailed to see if I can just pick up the parts rather than them build it given I'm going to transplant it into my own case. Will keep you posted.

    • I emailed asking if I could do the same but without certain parts because I’d rather get my own case and an X570 motherboard. Or even if they’d be able to offer the rig with a 5900x and X570. Fingers crossed!

      • Interested to hear about the outcome of this as I thought about doing the same thing myself. Surely they would be happy to even post all the parts out in a box and save themselves the assembly costs.

        • They said no upgrades will be offered other than the ones on the listing page in the dropdowns. The alternative is to do a custom build but then they will charge as per the individual item prices on the website :/

          • @abbztract: they also said no to just picking up the parts due to:

"the customer than come back to us claims the part they received is faulty, where is was damage during the assembly on their own"

  • +2

    why it's showing $3169 plus$75 shipping instead of 3099?

  • +1

Lol I avoid BPC ever since that last debacle where they keep increasing price of this build and put out 4 versions in one day (each more expensive than the last). While offering upgrades most user don't need (32gb ram,. 360mm aio etc)

That motherboard is also pretty trash.

  • so has anyone received this yet? I emailed them and they said end of next week.. 1 month to build a pc?
