    Fuoco

Does anybody know which aisle they're in, or do I need to ask the lady at the door where to get one ?

    • Ask the lady. If you find a gentleman at the door, don't ask.

      • I might ask if they can do a better deal on one…

  • If she can't then the Bunnings app might help you with that ๐Ÿ˜œ

    Damn.

I wish I was in WA so I could buy all of them and dump them to prevent any more disgusting neighbours smoking out the neighbourhood.

    • +4

      R U Ok?

      • +1

Yep, apart from the developing emphysema from my moronic neighbours

        • Do you drive a car by any chance?

          • -5

            @Cheaplikethebird: Well I'll bite

Yes of course, along with a vast majority of adults I drive a car.

I actually just purchased a Tesla

            • +2

@mdavant: Well as an adult who doesn't drive or own a car I would prefer if you didn't contribute to the pollution of our atmosphere.

              • -5

                @Cheaplikethebird: I have a 10kw solar system and a Tesla.

I do not directly contribute to your pollution.

Now if I did that AND pointlessly burned ridiculously smoky fires in residential areas for no real reason, then that would be out of the norm and socially retarded

Now I am quite certain my carbon footprint is lower than yours (whatever that is worth, I am so not a left wing enviro nutter) but I can give you a tip on how to limit your carbon output that involves an important piece of anatomy which travels along the tracheo-oesophageal groove.

                • @mdavant: How do you charge your Tesla, from thermal power fuel I assume (there is no 100% renewable energy available in Australia for 100% of the time as far as I know). So you pollute the air.

                  • -1

@z28: I was very careful with my words.

"I do not directly contribute to your pollution"

Whereas people with firepits directly pollute. I have a 10kw solar setup, and as I said my carbon footprint would dwarf most people's.

                    So the argument is pointless.

                • -1

@mdavant: 10kw solar and a Tesla, geez can you consume any more? I can guarantee my carbon footprint is much smaller even with all the expensive toys you've bought. Maybe you can take your own tip because you could have just said I'm buying a Tesla and I would have extrapolated the rest of your self righteous post from that.

                  • @Cheaplikethebird: Better than masses of games and computers etc?

Your righteousness sang loudly (and has in prior posts) regarding you not being able to afford a car or something like that.

                    • @mdavant: Lol don't think I've ever posted here about cars and I've bought one computer game in the last 3 years. You'll need to dig deeper.

Nice go at poor-shaming me though, just confirming my assumptions about you as a Tesla owner.

                      • @Cheaplikethebird: I have read some of your posts, you have mentioned not driving when smoking.

Talk about being a hypocrite. You go and rich shame and have the gall to cry when called out on the flip side.

Stop smoking out neighbours like a neanderthal.

                        • @mdavant: Haha what? How have I rich-shamed you and how is making up the fact that I can't afford a car 'calling me out'.

For the record I think that if you're living in the suburbs and you're lighting one of these up every weekend then that is a d**k move. But if it's just being used once every month or so then it's totally reasonable and the people trying to get firepits banned are tools.

I never wrote the above, you did champ.

I don't want to suck up any more of my neighbours smoke, ever. I don't care if they try to smoke out the neighbours every 3 months, it is too much.

They are an unnecessary item. You can get gas fires which can somewhat appeal to the inner neanderthal, no need to burn stuff in suburbia at all.

                            • @mdavant: I was pointing out that your carbon footprint likely isn't that small comparably. If you're really worried about air quality in suburban areas (and not just policing other peoples activities which you don't personally enjoy) you'd be better off targeting woodfired heaters.

                            • @mdavant: Mate you're sounding like a nightmare neighbour the more you go on. Its just freaking smoke, better than a methlab or cigarette smoke. If you hate it that much move out of the suburbs a onto a few hectares and go completely off grid. Geez

                              • @DoesntEvenMatter: Nah, I cause no grief, just don't like smoke entering my house from inconsiderate neighbours cavemanning in the backyard.

Can handle the music and loudness no worries, but dealing with the smoke is just not necessary.

What part have I said that makes you think my neighbour doesn't like me?

Is it being the sociably responsible person who took the bait of a troll?

                                • @mdavant: It's the way your comments make you sound. Like you'd cause a storm everytime they light a bbq and you talking about your carbon footprint, yours won't make a dint on thr global scale. Time to get youself a air purifier or a industrial fan to blow the smoke back ๐Ÿ˜‚

                                  • +1

@DoesntEvenMatter: I'm about to light up the smoker and put some ribs on in his honour ๐Ÿ˜‚

                                    • @Cheaplikethebird: Well at least it will be good for you health having to walk all the way to get the wood.

                                      • @mdavant: Itโ€™s actually just a ten minute walk with my granny trolley over to the local Bunnings so not much exercise (I really do this). I think itโ€™s time for you to log off mate.

                                        • @Cheaplikethebird: Nah don't worry I have 16 more minutes today than you cause I was thinking of driving down to Bunnings to buy me a super dooper big ass industrial fan

                                  • @DoesntEvenMatter: Nah, I'm a pacifist. Never cause dramas, a true keyboard warrior only.

A big fan is a good idea but I would probably be chastised for causing carbon pollution from some other keyboard warrior

      Have a Snickers

      • -1

        Not a bad idea!

    • I love the smell of my bbq everytime I walk past, and the smell of neighbours fires.

  • +1

The ventilation design of this fire pit looks awful at best. the middle is going to choke so bad and smoke everything like crazy.

    • If you would like a more detailed review of this model, ask my neighbour

  • +1

    Smoking these meats zucc style

Just a question ,never had a fire pit, is there any restrictions or seasonal restrictions on these things for residential areas?

Thanks OP, stopped in on the way to work yesterday morning and picked one up, still scanning at $199 so I was late for work by the time they fixed it. About 5 more left.
Just a heads up it's heavy (31kg, I'm only 57kg) so take a second person with long arms if you can.
