Wrong link, that's the base PS4 version.

PS5 DC was $79 on pre-order launch, may come down again. Finished Iki Island content yesterday, was superb.

I can't being myself to spend $99 on any game, I thought about finding it on PS4 which the free PS5 upgrade!

Alot of people say it's good tho!

    • +1

      Yeah same.
I'm thinking of waiting 3 or 4 years before buying a PS5 and then just picking up the older games on the cheap.

In my late teens / early 20s I was obsessed with Collector's / Special Editions, if any game that I wanted had one I'd buy it ranging from $120-300 generally. Now I refuse to spend over $60 on a game. I can't believe how much money I used to spend on those useless editions. Ended up binning & donating most of the stuff anyway. So dumb!

PS4 version + digital upgrade is cheaper for people who don't care about a physical copy

    + $30 for Directors Cut
    + $15 for PS5 upgrade

      think assassins creed.

    • +2

      No it’s very easy

    • Way easier, could even be a little tougher but generally difficulty level is great

  • +5

what's happened to game prices lately? O_O
$99 is just overkill and there's so many titles being released with these prices :/

    • +1

Especially for an upgraded PS4 game that was released for the PS4 over a year ago. I'd much rather pay $79 for RE8 (which I did preorder).

I sold my day one copy of Ghost of Tsushima PS4 version but will pick it up again once it's heavily discounted.

lol my PS5 is just sitting doing nothing, games are way too expensive.

    • -2

you should have known that though. and it will probably stay that way for a while.

      • The PS5 was a gift, I didn't buy it although bought several for my cousins.

    • +1

the first year or two are also pointless with new consoles (imo) since there are usually so few games for them. I prefer to wait until there's a decent enough library of exclusives and then buy into the console.

      • +1

To each their own. I'm happy with Returnal, RE8, Deathloop. It's also a better experience playing regular PS4 games coming from the OG PS4.

I'm just lucky that I preordered on the day of release. It's actually harder to secure one now than if you did it in the morning of release day.

But I agree that if you're happy to wait, then you're better off waiting.

    • Buy games at launch using a credit card that has price protection, like the 28 Degrees MasterCard. You can then claim back the price difference when the game goes on sale later (up to a year after purchase).

Honestly, this is the only PS5 game that has made the PS5 feel worth it. The Spiderman game was good, but incredibly short. Almost everything else that get's played on it is PS4 games.

    • It absolutely makes great use of the hardware. I'm very impressed at how nice it looks and how perfectly it runs. Miles Morales was fairly short but was still great. I've heard good things about ratchet and clank too. I'm holding out for the next Horizon game, really looking forward to that 👌
