I have xtreme version, temps don't go over 60C at 100% load.
Might have to change thermal pads eventually knowing gigabyte uses cheap ones.The Xtreme version looks like a normal waterblock construction with water flowing over all components. This one looks like they just drilled a cavity over the GPU core and vram for the water chamber.
I removed the plastic shroud and changed thermal pads and paste on this card's block, first time water cooling so not sure what the other blocks are like. VRAM temps improved by ~10 degrees but my core temp increased ~15 degrees, might be due to some factor in my loop. Eg. adding some accessories, re-using the coolant. I used 1mm thermalright and 2mm thermal grizzly pads, and thermal grizzly paste.
You must really love posting GPU 'deals'. You've posted 7 in the last month.
Probably does this for a living
How did you find out?? If only I got a penny everytime I hear that.. lol
Big thanks to you tho, I've managed to get many deals cause of you
@Bargainjustifier: Get a room
Waterforce has always hovered at the sub $2k, it's not new. I am not seeing prices moving down anytime soon.
HODL. For me anyway. Betting on the next phase of Ethereum 2.0 smashing the prices of GPUs back down to where they should belong.
Will Linus be right about prices increasing instead because of TSMC's price hikes?
The more we impulse buy at ridiculous prices the more likely this is going to happen. Might have to say goodbye to PC gaming for real if prices keep increasing. I could buy 3 to 4 consoles for the price of 1 GPU ffs.
goodluck finding these consoles
@Bargainjustifier: looks like you upset some babies with that comment :D
@Bargainjustifier: Soulja boy consoles
Damn you can buy a small car for the price of this. They must be making a killing
Cars are up too.
HOOOOLLLLDDDD
Will this card support Tensorflow GPU ? Anyone having experience running ML models on this GPU card?
Sure, it would work. Any recent NVidia card would work with tensorflow, I'd recommend avoiding AMD completely for now.
Make sure you understand the cooling setup of this card before ordering.
It's a good recommendation for GPU for DL tasks:

I'm still rocking a 1080 and I've built a PC for my kids with a 2080. Will PC gaming ever be affordable again?
I've never spent over $900 on a card, and can't bring myself to buy at these prices. I guess I'm stuck with inferior gear for the next 3-5 years at least. It really sucks to think I'll likely be in my 50s before I'll get a decent upgrade to my aging card.
should maybe consider investing in a console instead…regrettably I may cave and go the console route
I have the Xbox One and WiiU but not the latest consoles. I can't stand controller.
down down prices are down.
Isn't it deeper and down?
can anyone find any review of this card?
I couldn't find much on this particular variant of the card however picked it up a week or so ago. It's a fantastic card - there are two 'things' I have noted (they don't really impact performance):
- It only has 2 8 pin pcie plugs and hits a power limit
- The waterblock only covers the die and not the vrm so the vrm gets warm (around 60-70 degrees, nothing crazy)
I was able to get bout 140mhz overclock on this and temps sit around 40 degrees on a loop with a ryzen 7 5800x and 280mm rad.
Given the prices of other gpus on the market and the performance of this card (mine benches in top 98th percentile of all 3080s) I would 100% recommend.
I couldn't find reviews on this card either however I got the non LHR version. I posted a comment above about removing the plastic shroud and replacing thermal pads and paste. I believe the waterblock does cover the VRM unless you mean on the back plate side?
Is the water block aluminium or nickel plated copper?
"This product is not available to buy online or instore."
Can someone who has this card comment on the VRM temps? The waterblock doesn't look like a conventional block from ekwb etc. It looks like they use heatpipes to transfer heat to the main block with the water chamber.
