    Stands are included right?

    • Unfortunately not included, however we do have a range of Norstone stands you can have a look at if you require them :)

    • They are included in the photo!

But if you want them… expect to pay an extra $599 which I think is the price of those stands.

is this the review for this speaker?

    • Hi, These are a much older speaker from 2010. The GLE 426.2 is a vast improvement on the 420 and is only a couple of years old :)

  • Are these active?

    • +1

These are passive speakers so they require an amplifier to power them :)

  • I always find it weird (particularly in this day and age) if you can't find plenty of reviews on something. I don't care if this is a German manufacturer. They have a very weird marketing strategy by not making their equipment available for review.

    • I think of this meme:

      https://external-preview.redd.it/Qocy4Rk1eMdtB19W5YNGumGsRtF…

Canton would better served be concentrating market efforts in the US EU and UK rather than oceania south east asia.

Australia with 25 mil people of which hifi isnt such a strong enthusiast wouldnt not be a target for any Canton dealer.

A quick google and translate shows that these speakers seem to sold out in EU, possibly discontinued line but they are something like 400 euros so this is cheaper than in Europe.

  • I'm not a fan Canton's reliability. You going to need that 5 year warranty. I have thrown out a Canton sub woofer and my floorstanders have been in the repair shop once, and still play up.

    • +1

This is a very unusual situation as we've found Canton to be very reliable. Give us a call to discuss as we'd me more than happy to try and assist you in any way.

      • Thank you Funky Dan… I actually don't know why it didn't occur to me to try to get it fixed. But I will keep you guys in mind.

The floor standing speakers are hanging in there with a light prod to the mid range diaphram to correct it, thankfully it hasn't happened in a long while now.

  • Hi @FunkyDan
How do these compare to the Q acoustics 3010i?
I have a pair of 3030i, so I have some familiarity with Q Acoustics. Keen to know how these Cantons compare. Thanks.

    • +1

      Hi,
As a comparison, the GLE 426.2 is a far better speaker than the 3010i. More clarity and detail when it comes to quality of sound.
When we had the 3010i in stock I would recommend these over the 3010i and customers would be happy to pay the extra for the upgrade in sound. At $299 these speakers are a steal :)

      • Do you think they even surpass the 3020i?

  • Would these be suitable as computer speakers? I.e. sitting 1-1.5m away

    • yes they will be perfect, you just need a small amplifier for them to work..
let us know if you need any help

      • Hi mate. Thanks for the reply. Seriously contemplating buying these. Would need to get a DAC/AMP suitable to drive these from computer that would also be able to drive a pair headphones (currently hifiman HE350s, but looking to buy a slightly better pair soon). Would very much appreciate any advice.

        Thanks
