  • Is this anything special???

      it's on special…

The price? Not really as it's usually posted on OzB for $19 or under.

I like gold class more. Another consideration is wether you have a ceramic or s02 coating on top. Some of products don't stack well/counteract.

    • Smells nice too, great all in one wash. Foams up well also.

      • Leaves your paint soft and manageable!

    • Its ultimate wash and wax

    • Its good. Not as good as separate wash and separate wax (so they say), but about 100 times easier and still decent. Need to do it more often is the trade off (so they say).

    • "This is one of the best car wash products you can get!"

I see the hype is wasted on you 😃

    wax on wax off

  • I got it around $18 at sca and then got a further $10 cashback on my amex a while back.

I simply love this stuff, got a bunch a while back for under 20 bucks, but my favourite wash and wax… and the smell… victory.

What mixture are you guys using? (i.e.10ml per L?)

    • Two dollops per bucket :)

    • Just pour a few big blobs and fill the bucket with water. Don't need to work to a ratio it's not engine coolant

    • I'm sure I use more than 4x the recommendation amount.

Ie. Rather than 4 capfuls per 5L, I use 6 cupfuls (or more) per 1.5- 2L.

This way you get way more detergent on the microfibre or lambswool mit.

FYI, you should only use less water if you use the 2 bucket method.

Also rinse off the detergent before it dries.

$12.99 using $10 store credit from $1 signup.

    • doesn't work for discounted items

      • +1

It does. I just pickedup one.

        • sorry, it doesn't apply until you progress further with payment

I high-pressure rinse, then Meguiars NXT (or gold class) in a snow cannon, let it sit for 15-20 odd minutes, high pressure rinse again, then run the wash and wax through the snow cannon, do a low pressure rinse then a nice clean microfibre dry off. I do that about every 3 or 4 weeks. My E500 paint work looks like new almost 20 years later

    • What’s the difference between nxt and gold class? I recently purchased a pressure washer that cane with a foam cannon. It seems was n wax is not suitable for snow cannon.

    • what pressure washer do you use (or do you use a hose?)

    • Reg paint looking new after 20 years. Do you park it outside or in a garage?

  • Does this work with a pressure washer?

    • Sure does, goes well.

    • Yes. No problems

  • Off topic. But what's the go with car washes in Melbourne at the moment. It's not one of the 5 reasons to be out but some near me are packed while others empty, some closed. If they're meant to be closed, shouldn't be the owners be locking the gates? Also, my car needs a wash.

    • Are Uber/taxi allowed to wash their vehicles?

    • not sure about other places but the one i usually go to blocked off their wash bays

    • Car washes are not allowed to be open by law these days.

  • +3

This is one of the best. Also, smells real good. Just wondering at what proportion should I be using it in a foam cannon / in a bucket?

    • There is no set rule as everybody's water softness is different
For snow foam start at 8:1
      Bucket 128:1

  • We bought a 10l container of truck wash and wax years ago. We only use it on the car wheels because they are fiddly. I used to use wash and wax on motorcycles too for the same reason. I also use wash n wax on mountain bikes - brush mud and dust off, then wipe clean with damp cloth that is regularly wrung out after rinsing in wash n wax mix.

  • Been using this for 10 years fantastic product!

  • How does this compare to Mother's California Gold Carnauba wash & wax?

Autobarn currently has it (1.89L)for $22.99.

    • Meguiars Ultimate did better than Mother’s for me.

Have since moved to Bowden’s… BO Wax Wash does about same as the Meguiars Ultimate imho.

But BO Nanolicious is on a whole higher level altogether…!!

      • BO Nano for sure.
I'm not huge on "wax in the wash", I'd rather apply the protection separately, after washing but Nano is great stuff.
If you can afford to buy 5L's when it's on sale, it's not much more expensive per L than something like this Meg's deal.

I would say BO Wax Wash at $20 for 2L is better than this deal.

      • I've been alternating between the two (bought on special via OzB, naturally).

I was sold on the Bowden's Own 2L and the "banana" smell.
Then after I finished the bottle, I switched back to Meguiar's and I believe, it's slightly better in the suds and finish (shine).

FYI, I hand wash using two bucket method.
        Outdoor car, all weather.

        $21-22 was what I'd paid for Meguiar's.

I can literally smell this post. smells good.

Haters gonna hate but i prefer Armor-all wash n wax compared to this stuff , car is more glossy afterward and less then half the price of Meguiars.

If your car is dirty though you need a wash and not a "wash and wax product" , anything that says PH neutral basically won't clean your car properly but just get the bulk off the paint but the actual contaminants in the paint get stacked onto the next cycle until it gets to the point where you need to clay bar then polish.

Not meant to be a replacement for a real wax of course , but these days a hydrophobic coating such as Bowdens Happy Ending is as good as a wax you just have to re-apply it sooner but its so much easier.

  • Thanks OP… Literally had one wash was left. Perfect timing :)
