      Thanks for your interest and message.

      All our shipping is calculated direct with Australia Post, we have no control over this. Shipping would depend on what you ordered and how many items. If you have a lot of items this would be why the price is $15.75. Also these items are cushions and bulky. As the items are so cheap, we aren't able to offer Free shipping as well. Thanks for your understanding.

      Yeah I got $12.50 to regional NSW. So I thought I'd buy a couple of items as the shipping policy states free shipping to anywhere in Aus for orders over $49. Shipping policy
      I had my order at just over the threshold and it added shipping of $26.

      No deal for me.

        Thanks for your message and we understand where you are coming from, but hopefully you can understand our position particularly as a small business. As a small business we simply couldn't survive offering products (defect or not) at $3 and then offering free shipping on top of this.

        • Absolutely understand, just so you know I actually tried with two items that were full price and it was still charging postage. Might be worth removing the free postage from the shipping page is all.

      Given the weight and volume of cushions, I think their postage + packing rates are quite reasonable. I ended-up buying 10 cushions and the total postage was $18.95 (to inner-city Sydney).

      I think we've all become conditioned to likes of Amazon, Kogan (et al) who have negotiated high-volume contract rates with AusPost and couriers. I ship <20 items a month and the AusPost rates continue to go up.

      • Volume can easily be reduced with air suction machines. Pillows don't weigh all that much

        • Unfortunately we don't have access to one of these!

    I don't think it's reasonable to show a saving compared to retail price when the items are defective. Most of the items have sold out which is surprising given the postage.

      They do that was most damaged goods.. TVs with factory cosmetic damage but in working order ext.. for sale at a reduced price. Why not pillows… i would like to know the saving VS unddefective.. there is no issue with that.

        Note I said "I don't think it's reasonable….". Often people will purchase items that are damaged in some way, cosmetic or not because there is a discount, but I doubt they would value the item at the retail price when considering what to pay. Additionally, poor stitching on a cushion where that stitching is likely to need replacing (defective) is very different to e.g. a scratch on the side of a tv (cosmetic damage) which does not impact use.

    • We sold out really quickly and people have been happy to pay the shipping when the items are so cheap. We've also had great feedback about our defected items. To the point where people can't even tell there is a defect, which is why they are compared to RRP. We sell them as defects as these items do not meet our quality standard. As all our products are handmade, differences are expected.

  • It's refreshing to see this sort of frank and polite response from a vendor. I'd like to thank them for it, and for the fact that these are apparently genuine discounts of distressed stock and not the usual dropshipping operation.
