Nice. I prefer the lavazza pods over the Nespresso much more

    • are they compatible with nespresso? universal?

      • No, Lavazza machines only.

Are these as many Lavazza compatible pods though? What I like about nespresso compatible machines is there's a lot of alternatives (as long as you don't have a new virtuo machine)

      • What I like about Nespresso is that I can walk into their boutique shops and being treated like a VIP and taste as much as coffee as I would like. Of course, there is also many compatible pods reason too.
Also, their resell value is much better than those machines from other brands.

  • So do we put through the 6x pods and a coffee machine in same transaction and the checkout overrides the machine to $0? Just not sure how it works as T&C aren’t too clear and I don’t think I’ve seen my local Woolworths (Baldivis) sell coffee machines

    • Yes

The thoughts of free coffee machine running through my mind but then I already have enough coffee machines.

  • Pods are about twice the price of nespresso compatibles (at least when they're on very frequent sales).

  • ok, super n00b question …. how many coffee cups are made from one capsule?

    • 1 cup per capsule

  • I am seeing plenty on stock on day 1

  • Anyone know which woolworths in Victoria stock this coffee machine?

    • All Woolworths Supermarkets (including Woolworths Metro stores) that stock the eligible capsule products.

  • Giving a shot to Lavazza and their pod is not disappointed.
One capsule is similar to 1.5 shot than Nespresso one, the in-mouth is smoother and the aftertaste flavor is not bad.
Machine is compact with saying that the water tank is small as well as the capsule bin.
Overall is pretty good and worth it.

    • Never own coffee machine before. And only drink instant coffee once a day.

So, how many cup of coffee can i made from 1 pod? Just one cup? Is it strong? Can i water it down? Will be better if i buy milk frother or just straight from milk carton is fine? And thanks.

      • 1 pod will give you a small cup of espresso (~20-40ml). You then can put more boiled water in if you prefer watery coffee like American style. In which case, the Nespresso Vertuo (with big capsule) is a better option. Milk frother will make your coffee texture taste better than cold milk from carton. What is your prefer cup of coffee like?

        • Thanks for reply. I honestly don't have any preferences about coffee. It's just habit waking up in the morning and straight for coffee either at home or at cafe.

Also have no clue about coffee machine either espresso, moka, french press or pods.

But i like to have a coffee like my local Gloria Jeans, but cheaper and doesn't need to go out. Any machine recommended for beginner? Not too expensive.

          • @Zana5: I get you. I used to own couple of the pod machines, Nespresso and Nespresso Vertuo (big cup) and now using the barista ones (for fresh beans purpose), but there's a lot of mucking around which maybe you won't like it.
For pod machines, I would recommend Nespresso brand than any other brands out there, because they are the most popular and have variety of compatible pods if you want to save few cents each cup. What I like about Nespresso is that they have many flavours and intensity. And you can walk into any Nespresso shop and have free coffee taste of anything.
