Not strictly for pets.
Have seen the wife use this for grooming various locations….
Various…
Hmmm..
Quickly searches internet for answers..
Wife hmmm………….
for $30 bucks I'm willing to risk disappointment.
If trying it with a cat you will spend the difference on bandages and Dettol.
Leave a note for the ambo's with your blood group - helped me
@Pizzaguy you're not meant to brush with the vacuum on. You're meant to brush with it turned off until the bristles are full of hair, and then just turn it on for a second to clean it up.
Good point, fair enough.
Sounds less practical than using a regular brush and vacuuming it whenever needed. The vacuum is handheld anyway. A regular brush doesn't require a cumbersome cord like that Groom Tool has.
I haven't tried it, but just I can't see how it's useful. You groom your pet and you clean up. Does anyone brush, then reach and switch on the vacuum cleaner to clean the brush, then brush one more time, then switch on again etc.?
I have two German shepherds and this is my fav brush. Never used it with my Dyson.
Simply put a bag next to me, push to deploy the wire bristles, brush until full, hold above bag, release lever and bristles retract having all hair simply fall down into bag.
Repeat and the infamous German shedders are then sorted.
Seriously such a time saver to drop the hair off in seconds, never have to touch the hair.
Better than old mate who takes his 2 dogs to the park near me, presumably blower-vacs the (profanity) out of them, then goes home. Leaves 17 dog volumes of hair on the ground every spring.
Have seen people doing this too, also at the beach. It always amuses me how comfortable they are doing something so obviously antisocial.
They’re probably using a ferminator or similar, when we use it on our dog we have to grab the hair quickly to stop the fur tumble weeds flying over our fence to our neighbours or getting in the pool and clogging the filter.
In that case you don't have to buy the Dyson attachment. Self cleaning slicker brushes have always been a thing (and I agree, they are great).
And that's the magic search term, slicker brush! yes doesn't need to be the dyson, I just found it easy enough to drop into bag than have connected to the vac
Was wondering how I'd from myself during lockdown. Thanks!
Is the Flexi crevice compatible with a V6? Does anyone have experience using it?
Looks like the fitting is for the V6. I have this and the only time I've used it is to vacuum in the car, between the driver/passenger seats and the centre console. Does the job, just rarely used.
Yeah I had one of those buy first think later ozbargain moments…. It’s pending pick up but not sure if it’s a little bit gimmicky… someone did mention that even the plastic section is a bit too wide between the driver/passenger seats.
Yeh be better if width was the same as the normal crevice tool.
Prob not something that will get a lot of use but for $9 handy to have in the Dyson toolbox..
Nice thanks OP got one. Wanted the mattress and the flexi crevice tool.
Just to make sure, are you using a corded or cord-free unit? These tools are made for the corded vacuums unless they say ""for Dyson cord-free range" in their names.
It's compatible with cordless vacuums which is what I have.
Do these fit all Dyson vacs?
No, with the exception of the ones that say "for Dyson cord-free range" in the title they are for the big ball units
I got excited for a moment when I saw this title. Dyson very recently brought out a new attachment for their hairdryer which is about $100. I thought this post was related in some way.
I wonder if anyone currently owns these attachments and the Opolar Vac+Suc, and if there's a chance the attachment has similar fittings.
Ordered everything (x5 items to $101) just to get free delivery . Thank OP, but sure sure if I need all of it.
that's a very assured purchase then
Just to make sure, are you using both a corded AND cord-free unit? These tools are made for the corded vacuums unless they say ""for Dyson cord-free range" in their names. Have a good one
Thanks for the information, now I know I ordered some unusable tools for the cord-free range. Oh well, at least I can add it to my hoarding list.
I blindly bought it and while I was waiting at the contactless pick up bay - I realised the flexi tool didn't fit my vac but there's plenty of adapters you can buy to make it work
Sorry I am a bit confusing and I feel like some of us might have ordered something that’s not suitable for their vacuum.
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/dyson-flexi-crevice-tool - is this one for corded? It doesn’t say but based on the photo assuming it’s corded?
And the complete cleaning kit is for cord free (like what it advertises for)? If it is, then I don’t feel like I’ve missed out….
Thank you for clarifying to us!No idea but fits perfectly on my V6. It also comes with an additional adaptor not shown in the pics (didn't fit my V6) which I'm not sure what model it's for.
@gimme: I think that adaptor is for old corded models
These are garbage imho. I have the flexi crevice tool and the stubborn dirt brush. There might be specific use cases like behind a fridge where the flexi is ok. The stubborn dirt brush has laughably soft bristles which render it useless.
I'm not sure what a mattress tool is good for.. when the mattress is already protected by a fitted sheet? And the up-top adaptor will often have you doing a half-assed job as you can't see what you're doing (or still can't reach the back of anything deep).
The mattress tool is for sucking up juicy bed bugs, well at least it did in my situation, nearly filled the whole vacuum was disgusting, but highly recommended for it!
I just remembered I had a time when my kid was getting bites and we kept changing sheets every second day. And that I have a $50 JB voucher from the shopback deal that I have NFI what to do with. So, bought the pack. May never use it. Oh well.
it will help mate, does a great job at pulling them from the mattress!
Where do you live to get bedbugs? I thought they went the way of the dinosaur.
https://www2.health.vic.gov.au/public-health/environmental-h…
Relatively common across Australia
@Scrobo: Crazy. I was in hostel in Canada years ago and they offered discounts for people that had access to DDT for bedbugs. I thought they were just a North American thing.
They are a big problem in hotels. People bring them from home, in their luggage, then the next person who uses the room gets a dose. Then some of them hitch hike out in their luggage

@try2bhelpful: yeah I do a lot of travel (at least used to) and thats where I think I bought them home. Seriously dry reached when I looked in the vacuum, was disgusting
Thank you OP - been waiting for a good sale like this one for the accessories for ages!
sold out? cant load the delivery options
Bought the kit and they've already delivered via store to door, thanks OP
Does anyone know if the $9 flexi crevice tool is the same as the flexi crevice tool that's in the complete cleaning kit?
Curious about this aswell
I’m pretty sure ones for cord free and the $9 is for corded. That’s what I’m waiting for the brand rep that was answering everyone else’s questions.
It worked just fine on my cordless V6
The $9 one or the one from the kit?
@Baby Grogu: yes
The kit is 968335-01 which is for V7 and newer.
The $9 one is V6 and previous.
Just purchased one of each. Perfect, as I just also purchased a V8 in the last few weeks. Thanks OP
2 of them dont work on the V8, I just found out myself too
I ordered yesterday (was $49) $9 - Dyson Flexi Crevice Tool but it does not fit into my V7 so looks probably for V6 .package does not mention ….
I think they says somewhere it fits V6 only and not above
Just a heads up these do not fit the DC59
Just grabbed the kit.
Thanks OP!Call me cynical, but why are Dyson accessories not using a universal connector? I own 3 different dyson vacuums and they are all different. So I can't use my older car kit on my newer vacuum.
Won't be buying another Dyson as a result.
From what the rep said here: "It's got a larger diameter hole than the cordfree version as the motor has more suction power".
So yeah, it's to make you spend more.
The larger diameter hole is inherently harder to clog. When you have a more powerful motor you're able to have a larger hole without loss of suction per area. It's about balancing pickup performance for a battery operated machine vs something that is able to effectively draw as much as it wants from the wall.
There is an adaptor included with the big ball units to allow you to adapt older tools to ensure compatibility with the widest range of products possible.
Likewise there's an adaptor (part number 968235-01) which is made to let you use older V6 tools on newer models.
Hope that helps.
It helps indeed, thank you!
Doesn't explain why different generations of wall powered models differ, but good to know.
I think my original car kit came with 4 different adapters because even at that time they were not compatible (and there were no battery models then).
@lunchbox99: The big ball units have free adaptors in the box to work with older tools. Big ball units moved to the newer plug as it was more durable from what I’ve been told, but can’t confirm 100% unfortunately.
Hopefully the mounts stay as is from now on, I don’t imagine them changing unless there is a tangible benefit to usability in doing so.
I’ll pass on the feedback though, cheers.
Does Dyson Flexi Crevice Tool fit all models?
any chance at all of the low reach adapter as well please?
thanks in advance!low reach
